This movie is almost as terrible as Cyborg, in its plot, scriot and skill of the actors. Once again another mediocre production from one of the worst (and unfortunetly best known) actors in Hollywood. And yes, you guessed, a load of nobody actors who like to make strange facial contorsions for no reason.
It is set in a world where time travel is possible, but, for some strange reason it has to be policedagainst nasty people who want to change history. This film completely ignores any and all theories on time travel and makes it so that the only way history is changed is if it effects our hero JCVD.
Good old Claude is upset because a corrupt politician went back in time to kill his wife (you never really find out why), and he wants to go back and stop him. He is not allowed to do this because it is against the law. After this the plot of the evil politicia is revealed in that he is trying to get together moeny by changing what he did in the past to fund his campign to be President. Its that simple.
The movie is a prime example of a vehicle to show off Claudes one talent 'Kick boxing'. All his movies seem to have this motivation. All in all a bad film. Trust me, don't even try to enjoy it.

Hi; just thought I'd leave a comment on this part of your review.
"This film completely ignores any and all theories on time travel and makes it so that the only way history is changed is if it effects our hero JCVD. "
Personally I don't think that any film should be forced to follow theories blindly, since they are just that; theories. However while this film was undoubtedly a shallow example of time travel there was still a little on the effects. The reason that the police were needed was that people were going back to change time. His partner was just one example; with the senator being a more extreme. We are led to believe that he had made a lot of changes before Walker became involved; his position of power was entirely due to his time travel, and the only reason that we don't find out about any of the events unrelated to the character is that they are just not important. If none of the characters ever know; then why should the audience be even further ahead of them?
Other than that you have a solid, useful review here. I prefer a little depth from a VU; but I'm guessing you do that anyway in other reviews. I'll go check. *grin*

This film is so bad it`s almost done a complete turn-around to be watchable!

Advantages: Enjoyable stuff, easy on the brain cells, good action scenes Disadvantages: Not the best film you're ever likely to see, some duff plot flaws in time-travel logic
