No reviews for Chopper ? Can't believe no one on Ciao has reviewed this classic Australian film Chopper yet, so it looks like I will be the first to do so. Chopper (DVD) Chopper is based on a true story about a notorious Australian criminal called 'Mark Chopper Read' who allegedly committed nineteen vicious murders and got away with it and surprisingly enough he wrote his autobiography whilst in jail which became a best selling book called 'From the Inside'. The film starts off very quickly,realistically and violently with 'Mark Chopper Read' played by Eric Bana (who I must say plays the part magnificently) serving one of his many prison sentences and it's not long before you see the wicked sense of humour he has and his dodgy mates. Mark 'Chopper' Read

Advantages: Fantastic film, great directing
Disadvantages: I dunno, you tell me

from past crimes haunts him and causes him to be empathetic but ultimately causes him to be extremely violent. The film then revolves around his time on the outside, escaping death and battling in the criminal underworld of Australia. My Opinion I started watching this film last night and I was talking to a friend on msn at the same time but I started to get more and more into the film. Chopper is portrayed as a very charismatic character, he is very witty and played by Eric Bana - once a stand-up comedian and thanks to this film a Hollywood star in such films as Munich and Troy (The real Chopper Read requested Eric to play the part) - he is great to watch and listen to. The Land Before Time DVD 1

Advantages: Great film, good for a cry, lovely characters & happy ending
Disadvantages: Littlefoots mother dies :'(

The Land Before Time is the ultimate Dinosaur equialent of Bambi. In that it's basic underllying theme is littlefoot becoming an orphan due to his mother being killed by a preadator. ( in this case by a 'sharp-tooth', in bambi's case, a human sports hunter ). This fantastic old skool animated film is work from Steven Spielberg, and was directed by Don Bluth, to produce a tear jerking classic film with a soundtrack composed by James Horner. Originally released in cinemas in 1988 (can you believe I was like only 3!) it quickly became a chart topper and became even more popular when it was eventually released on VHS. And now in 2006, we are graced with the DVD format, to enjoy the spacousness of a DVD cupboard. Which is great you can fit like 30 DVD's in the space of 10 VHS cases.
