A Clever Film
Advantages: An interesting storyline Disadvantages: Nothing stood out
...Review****
Normally I am the first person to see film's in my house but in the case of 'The Bank Job' my mum had already seen it before I settled down to watch it the other night. Because of her previous viewing I was already aware that the film was decent, which for my mum to say is definitely a compliment. I was therefore dually expecting a really entertaining couple hours and by and large this is exactly what I got. General Information ... ...that was released in 2008. The film's cast include names of the big and small screen including Jason Stratham, James Faulkner, Saffron Burrows and Keeley Hawes. The film is based on the Baker Street Robbery of 1971 but the extent of the historical facts is difficult to determine under the significant fictional elements of the story. The Plot Terry Leather is a petty thief gone straight. He currently owns a car sales garage but is being increasingly ...

A Murderous Affair
Advantages: Fascinating characters Disadvantages: Not original
...is having an affair with a younger man, David Shaw (Viggo Mortensen) - who is an artist. He takes the opportunity to visit the man and rather than attacking him, decides to provide him with an incentive to kill Emily. Hesitant at first, David is tempted towards the opportunity and also unprepared to face whatever threat would lie before him should he refuse - so he decides to accept the contract. Together they plan the 'perfect murder' whilst Emily ... ...man is arranging for her a violent ending, but she is not one to go down without a fight. A war of mistrust
This is a film all about conflicts of interests, where each of the main protagonists chooses the 'wrong path' because they think it is of most benefit yet they simply become tied up in a web of deceit where their enemies really are close. Emily is naive and truly believes that she has broken her husband's trust, which in a sense, she has - ...

A must for Christie fans!
Advantages: Owning the entire collection Disadvantages: None
What can I say - David Suchet was born to play Hercules Poirot. Never has an actor brought the character so to life and I should know as I own all the books as well. There is a mixture of short one hour episodes and feature length films so you can pick what you want to watch when. Unfortunately, the last few do not include the characters of the likeable Inspector Japp, Poirot's bungling sidekick, Hastings and his secretary, Miss Lemon. I feel that ... ...my living room and the stories were acted out just as Christie would have wanted, unlike the ITV more recent interpretation of Miss Marple. You will see many familiar faces in these shows either before their careers took off or when they were household names. The DVD's are supplied in a neat and compact case and are easy to store or have them out on show as I have. The indexing is very clear for even the initiated. If you know any Christie fan and ...

Dogs ain't dumb
Advantages: The usual high quality production of a good book Disadvantages: A number of discrepancies with the book
...for a series of Hercule Poirot DVDs, of which this is the fourth in the series. I know I could probably collect the DVDs much more cheaply from Ebay, but I am a sucker for marketing and signed up for the entire series. Nevertheless, I have got a great deal of pleasure out of it so far and look forward to receiving the latest offering once a fortnight. The creator
Agatha Christie, author of over 70 novels and books of short stories, is known across ... ...in 1976.

Within a short time of having arrived, Emily Arundel falls down ...
