The Definitive Holmes and Watson
Advantages: Beautifully restored versions of the greatest Holmes and Watson of all time Disadvantages: None a single one
...not conversant with the Rathbone/Bruce Sherlock Holmes films, they began as almost A-movies for Twentieth Century Fox first in Hound and then The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. At this point Fox decided not to film any further adventures but Universal, ever desiring to put together B-movie series, which might draw in audiences, negotiated with Conan Doyle's estate to gain the rights. Successfully so, they brought back Rathbone, as an angular, slightly ... ...Baskervilles and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes remained faithful to Conan Doyle's late Victorian, fin-de-siecle, milieu, Universal decided to update Holmes and Watson to the present day, and as such the first few films, including Sherlock Holmes in Washington and Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon were patriotic flag-wavers, where Holmes was pitted against dastardly Nazis but it soon became clear to them that it was fog drenched London and/or ...

If he can't have her no one can!
Advantages: Gripping storyline Disadvantages: Slow in parts
Sleeping With The Enemy is a psychological thriller based on a book released in 1987 of the same name. This stars Julia Roberts post Pretty Woman in one of her better but underrated roles of her career. Her husband's played by Patrick Bergin in what is probably his most notable role, he's also starred in small films like Robin Hood (1991) & Mountains On The Moon (1990).
Sleeping With The Enemy is directed by Joseph Ruben, a relatively unknown director ... ...approximately 99 minutes. Sleeping with the enemy revolves around a couple living in a lovely house on the beach. Laura (Julia Roberts) thought she had met the perfect man in Martin Burney (Patrick Bergin) however after four years of marriage their 'perfect' relationship isn't quite so perfect after all. Martin is extremely abusive towards his wife, he's a control freak & needs things to be his way. He can't stand things to be out of place.

A cryptic Movie
Advantages: Good story, characters Disadvantages: None
The Da Vinci Code was probably one of the most controversial books of the modern day and so the movie was always going to be eagerly anticipated. The book was written by Dan Brown and was an international bestseller. I've read the book and really really enjoyed it and was excited above the movie. Of course, the subject matter is very controversial and although it is meant to be somewhat fictional I can see elements of truth in it. The film version ... ...follows the story of the book which I like and hasn't strayed too far away from the story which is nice. Tom Hanks stars as Robert Langdon, a professor of Symbology. He is the main character of the movie as it's up to him to solve the riddles and ultimately save himself. I like Tom Hanks in this. There's no doubting that he's a great actor but he definitely brings a fresh approach to this role. When I first heard that he was going to play this part ...
