An edge of your seat thriller that promises to deliver
Advantages: Gripping storyline, good twists Disadvantages: Nothing orignal, bad acting from some of the actors
Derailed is a thriller based on a book written by James Siegel of the same name. The film isn’t to be confused with Jean-Claude Van Damme’s film of the same name released in 2002. Derailed didn’t exactly do well at the box office, well, that’s a bit of an understatement. Derailed was mauled by over 80% of critics. The film is rated 15 and runs for approximately 106 minutes. Derailed was made on a budget of $22,000,000 and grossed an estimated $57,479,076 ... ...point in watching again, however Derailed is different, it’s something that really captured my attention and even though I know the outcome it’s still an enjoyable film for me to watch every so often. As soon as I saw this film advertised I had high hopes for it. I’m a big fan of thrillers and this one had a brilliant cast which included one of my favourite actresses so I was looking forward to seeing it. One thing that did bother me a little was ...

I'll Sleep Well If I Have To Watch This Again
Advantages: None I can see Disadvantages: Far too many to list
... Victor
On paper I'll Sleep When I'm Dead sounds like a fantastic idea; when you connect the fact that Director Mike Hodges who bought us the original Get Carter considers this a follow up to (although not in the conventional sense) to Get Carter you immediately think that something great is upon you. However that's sadly wrong, what you in fact have on you is the premise of a good story that transpires to be an empty shell.
The first thing that ... ...It's kind of ironic that I'll Sleep When I'm Dead was a big seller in respect of DVD sales, not only did it sit at number one in the charts for several weeks; but when I used to sell DVD's I could never get hold of enough of these. I can only conclude that the reason it was so popular was at the time of its DVD release Clive Owen was pretty much a guaranteed cert to be the new James Bond. Because having flitted through several websites today I cannot ...

~ They control your life ~
Advantages: Great shhot out scene, Effects, Clive Owen Disadvantages: Naomi's character, Boring parts, Long, Predictable
...which film had come through the post from my Love film list. You can check which DVDs are sent to you but I forgot all about it hoping it would be a good movie to waste a few hours. After opening up the envelope I found that it was- ‘The International’. The International was released this year and I had not actually heard of it before I found it on Love Film. I found this quite unusual as it is an action thriller and stars Clive Owen, who I quite ... ...or it being in the cinema but reading the plot a few weeks ago online I thought it sounded pretty decent. After receiving bad comments in the previews the film was actually delayed on being released from August 2008 to February 2009 which was not a good sign. I had recognised many of the actors in the film from the cover. Obviously Clive Owen is pretty well known but I knew the main woman role was someone I had seen before but could not name her. ...

Does Exactly What it Says on the Tin
Advantages: An anarchic sense of humour. Disadvantages: A nonsensical story and bargain basement effects.
When he sees a pregnant woman being pursued by gun-toting thugs, mysterious Mr Smith comes to her aid. She dies in the ensuing fire-fight, literally leaving him holding the baby. He puts the child in the care of local hooker-with-a-heart-of-gold DQ, but then realises the child and not the mother was the intended target. On the run from relentless hired killer Hertz, he must discover the secret of the child he has sworn to protect.
"Shoot 'Em Up" ... ...the tin. It may be loud, silly and stupid, but it is never boring. Brummie writer-director Michael Davis favours balls-to-the-wall action over character development and emotional depth, but he knows his audience. You'll know whether you're going to enjoy this film within the first two minutes as our hero dispatches a bad guy with nothing more than a carrot. If it makes you hoot with laughter, you know you're onto a winner. It doesn't get any more ...
