This film is Dead Calm
Review of Dead Calm (Wide Screen) by pmcds

Advantages: Acting, Directing
Disadvantages: Limited in terms of plot

Dead Calm is a thriller from director Phillip Noyce, who followed this film with 'Patriot Games', 'Clear And Present Danger' and 'The Bone Collector'. It is a 1989 film with a good cast, and itsx running time is an easy to watch 93 minutes. The director is a specialist of the thriller genre, so you expect a good yarn here. The Plot Joe and Rae Ingram are a couple who embark on a trip in their yacht for a few days of rest and relaxation as a couple ...

The Ingrams do the right thing and invite Warriner aboard, not knowing the dangser they have invited into their lives. Most Original Thriller? Hands Down!
Review of Memento (Wide Screen) by nikitakou

Advantages: Original, Fascinating, Full Of Unpredictable Twists
Disadvantages: Confusing, Particularly To Start With

I've been long waiting to see a movie that is totally original and this is it! SUMMARY The main character, Leonard, is a man who is determined to carry out one and only one mission: take vengeance on his wife's murderer. Sadly, his big setback is his incapability to retain any new information since the murder, as his short-term memory was destroyed when heavily beaten by the same man who raped ...
...certain details even before the incident and the only way of keeping track of new events is by taking photos and notes and making tattoos on his body. The film is uniquely shown backwards and cut in pieces, which is supposed to correspond to his "condition". Leonard's private investigation crosses paths with an assumingly helpful and understanding barmaid and a suspiciously creepy man. IMPRESSIONS= ... Read review

Some memories are best forgotten...
Review of Memento (Special Edition) by cobainkurdt

Advantages: Reverse chronological storyrelling!
Disadvantages: The movie's finale

...the depth of its intricacies. Memento about a man named Leonard (Guy Pearce) who is from San Francisco. Leonard is an insurance fraud investigator, suffering from anterograde amnesia. Leonard suffered from extensive head injuries after he intervened on his wife's murder. Although his memory is intact, prior to the incident, he is no longer able to make new memories and suffers short-term memory loss. To compensate for his condition he uses annotated ...
...sequence, which becomes the climax. Memento is a creative movie that does not abide by the precedents of narration. Other movies have also changed around with the time and the way in which the movie flows, movies such as Peppermint Candy and Irréversible. If Christopher Nolan had not directed this movie the reverse chronological structure of the movie could have been an utter gimmick, however Memento's unique way in which it is executed helps us ... Bone Chillingly Brilliant
Review of The Bone Collector DVD by SexySOS

Advantages: Excellent Film
Disadvantages: One setting was a bit un-real

I am the one that you will find behind their couch at even the slightest glance of anything scary, for god sake I am still afraid to watch the Wizard of OZ and I am 23 years old, but this film although it was full of dead bodies and unusual circumstances had be glued to the screen, as it captivated me through intrigue. Storyline Lincoln Rhyme (Densil Washington) plays a chief forensic expert who lays dormant in his hospital bed at home, with 24 nursing ...
...left him almost completely paralysed; the only things left functioning being his mind, head, shoulders and his index finger on his left hand. Not only did this tragic accident leave him with such a disability but also life-threatening seizures, which anyone could leave him in a vegetable state. Being so depressed that he asks for help from his friend/doctor Larry to help in what he calls his final transition i.e. his death. Rhymes is well respected ... Read review
