Vantage Point is not your normal film. I can't reveal much of the plot without ruining it though. The start is about the US president being assassinated in Spain and the assassinated and all the events around it are then shown from the perspectives or "vantage points" of about 9 people who were there. Each time a new perspective is shown, you will learn a little bit more about the film and find a new twist in the plot that will change your view ...
...are almost never as they seem. Judging on the way you see something, it could be the opposite of what it really is. I was particularly impressed with Forest Whitaker who seems to be really enhancing an already impressive acting career. His performance is assured and I would say is easily the best of all the actors on display. I will try and tell you about the movie without giving too much away, otherwise it'll be pointless in you watching it, as it'll lose the surprise and spin that is added to the movie. The way that this movie has been made is rather clever. It shows you the points of views of a number of different people, and the only thing that remains the same is what they see in the end. ...biggest problem with Vantage Point is that the constant repetition, what starts off seeming to be a interesting thriller soon deteriates into a film where everything thats happening just isnt believable.
