It's only a game
Advantages: Brilliant Story and plot, will keep you guessing, well acted Disadvantages: soundtrack non existent, ending a bit open
...recently watched these dvd for the second time, and it was almost as good as the first!
This suspense thriller has a fantastic plotline that keeps the audience guessing from start to finish. Expertly acted by Michael Douglas, I couldn't help but put myself in his place and feel the fear that he feels. A multi millionaire, he is bought a present for his birthday from his brother - his very own game. Not knowing when this will start or end it takes ... ...me questioning how much was the game and was the game still going on? All manner of twists and turns occur, a real rollercoaster of a movie, real edge of your seat stuff.
I wasn't sure of the ending, but it is very cleverly written and I could never guess what was going to happen next. I would definitely recommend this as worth viewing, as it is a very unique concept. Very clever. ...

Don't say a word, (Ill never tell)
Advantages: Exciting and full of intrigue. Disadvantages: None.
I thought Don't Say a Word was an outstanding psychological thriller, it was exciting and mind bending, it really keeps you thinking about what on earth is happening from beginning to end.
The basics of this film are as follows:
The film is all about the robbery of a $10 million gem where two men ou of the gang take the stone leaving the person in charge of the robbery, Patrick, very angry. The film is actually set 10 years later but include flashbacks ... ...to meet Dr Nathan R Conrad who is a child psychiatrist, he is asked to meet with a teenage patient, Elizabeth. She is a very disturbed person who has very child like qualities. Patrick, having recently been released from prison, and his gang break into an apartment that they use as a base to keep an eye on Dr Conrads wife, Aggie. (she has a broken leg so is stuck in her room) The gang also kidknap the couples daughter, Jessie. This is all done so ...

A Murderous Affair
Advantages: Fascinating characters Disadvantages: Not original
...is having an affair with a younger man, David Shaw (Viggo Mortensen) - who is an artist. He takes the opportunity to visit the man and rather than attacking him, decides to provide him with an incentive to kill Emily. Hesitant at first, David is tempted towards the opportunity and also unprepared to face whatever threat would lie before him should he refuse - so he decides to accept the contract. Together they plan the 'perfect murder' whilst Emily ... ...man is arranging for her a violent ending, but she is not one to go down without a fight. A war of mistrust
This is a film all about conflicts of interests, where each of the main protagonists chooses the 'wrong path' because they think it is of most benefit yet they simply become tied up in a web of deceit where their enemies really are close. Emily is naive and truly believes that she has broken her husband's trust, which in a sense, she has - ...

He Said No
Advantages: False endings, revenge, twisting storylines Disadvantages: None
...though few have remained consistent; Disclosure is a one constant in that time. There are a number of reasons why I enjoy Disclosure, and hopefully I'll explain them during the course of this review.
I stumbled upon the book Disclosure in 1993, at this point there were no plans to turn Michael Crichton's book to film, not that I knew of anyway. As I made my way through the book I remember thinking what a great movie it would make, but how with all ... ...six months after the announcement Disclosure hit the cinemas. What amazed me about Disclosure was that it was an exact copy of the book, issues of difference were minor, and all those things I felt impossible were included.
The magic of Disclosure lies in the technology to some level; there were a lot of hair brained ideas in the book and movie that seemed out of this world to some level, the things that seemed impossible then are excepted today ...

play away
Advantages: brilliant plot twists Disadvantages: not as good 2nd time around
...somewhat depressed as he approaches the age that his father committed suicide. His brother, the black sheep of the family, appears out of the woodwork to give him his birthday present, a unique tailor made experience provided by CRS (consumer recreation services). Sceptical, Van Orton signs up and the rollercoaster ride begins........
After a physical & a few psychological tests Van Orton signs a release form and the film kicks off, his game begins ... ...it has disappeared along with the contents of his bank account. A man appears to fall down dead in front of him, a taxi locks him in and drives him erratically around the city, he's drugged and wakes up on the Mexican border. These are just a few of the bizarre occurrences that plague him in the next few days. Twist follows twist up until the final climactic scene - I cant say much more without giving away the story. Opinions
