"From Hell". Well at least they got the address right.
Advantages: Its a good take on the ripper stories
Disadvantages: ....but the ripper story has been done many times

Advantages: Good acting
Disadvantages: Slightly predictable

I did enjoy watching this and would recommend it if you had not much else to do. Admittedly, there are many films I would rather watch but there are many worse films out there than this! If its on the tv I'd suggest watching it but dont spend money on it! ...

Advantages: Great quality movie with good cast and great detail
Disadvantages: none

What's going on here?
Advantages: Johnny Depp, Stephen King, a few tense moments, good plot and actors
Disadvantages: None for me
...go, you should still enjoy Secret Window. However if you like your films the bloodier the better this film may disappoint you somewhat.
Secret Window in its favour has:-
A decent plot.
Johnny Depp, if you are a fan.
A well written script.
Enough about it to keep the viewer watching till the bitter end.
That Stephen King touch to it.
Secret Window is 96 minutes long and is PG rated in the UK for violence, terror, sexual content and bad language. ...
...think any of the above was too explicit or excessive. Of course watching on TV means that some elements could have suffered from a censors cut.
So in summing up all I can say is that I would recommend this film as good viewing. It seems to have all the right elements that make a good film. Action-packed with some witty dialogue but still flawed somehow
Advantages: Quite thrilling when it gathers pace, seemed an authentic depiction of London, some humour
Disadvantages: Something about Downey Jnrs depiction of Holmes didnt work somehow, not for all ages/the squeamish
