Or in this case the TV screen, as Scottish Television originally released the three novels featured on this DVD as a series of stand-alone episodes in conjunction with a production company called Clerkenwell Productions.
Quite how I managed to miss the original screening of Rebus on TV is a bit of a mystery, but at least I was able to get my hands on this DVD after reading about its ...

Disturbing
Review of Suspicious River DVD by
Bolly
Advantages: Molly Parker & Callum Rennie
Disadvantages: Don't go if you want to be cheered up.
Suspicious River is a Canadian film which is showing at the London Film Festival.
It tells the tale of Leila, a bored young wife who dreams of escaping her life for something new and exciting. The film suffers a little from over-use of very obvious symbolism ... ...go and watch this film if you are easily shocked. It is redeemed by the performances of Molly Parker and Callum Rennie in the 2 central roles, but overall I found it slightly slow moving. Having said that it does keep popping into my head several days after seeing it so I guess it must have had the right effect. ...
