Jaws
Review of Jaws (30th Anniversary Special Edition) by Rampant_Ross

Advantages: Will keep you on the edge with excitement
Disadvantages: An old film so it doesn't look like the modern ones

...to finished film comparison (Opening credits, Kintner boy, Hooper's new future, Original ending) All of these features are what you would exspect from a 2 disc special edition, and provide a die hard Jaws fan with lots of material to watch Running Time: 1 Hour and 59 Mins ... Read review

Da Vinci Code
Review of The Da Vinci Code DVD by mummyd83

Advantages: Mysterious, left the the view guessing
Disadvantages: Movie maybe could have been cut a little shorter

I must say I feel the book was alot better than the movie. However I liked the fact the the movie elaborated on scenes from the book. After watching the Da Vinci Code, I feel like I had a better understanding of the characters and what they were about. This movie in my opinion was good, and was well played by Tom Hanks and Sophie Neveu. There is alot of scepticism about this movie and questioning certain details of religion. I do not think that is ...
...It is a good mystery and the leave the view curious to watch to the end. This movie had my full attention the same as the book. The only negative side for me was that I thought that the movies was perhaps at little bit too long. ... Read review

Not as good as the first, still good
Review of Ocean's Twelve DVD by fernando160

Advantages: great cast, good story, decent soundtrack, not bad sequel,
Disadvantages: lack of DVD extras, bit of a confusing ending,

Ocean's Twelve is the sequel to the hit crime/comedy "Ocean's Eleven", which reprises the all star cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Matt Damon. Three years has passed since Ocean (Clooney) and his gang had stole $160 million from Terry Benedict's (Garcia) casinos, as well as his lover and now Oceans wife (for the second time) Tess (Roberts). Thinking each of them are in the clear, they ...
...using the share of the money stolen. However Lady Luck isn't smiling on the eleven as Benedict has tracked them down and wants one thing: his $160 million plus interest - a total of $198 million. Unfortunately for Ocean, Rusty (Pitt) and the rest, they only have 14 days to get the money and the worst of it is after frivilous spending, they need close to $100 million and they can't "work" in the US. How do the gang get the money: performing small ... Read review

“The Statement”
Review of The Statement DVD by barefoot777

Advantages: brilliant crew
Disadvantages: far too serious

...are out of fashion. On the territory of UK or USA there are hardly any audience who enjoy watching it. Apart from the Jewish communities as most number victims of holocaust. However, Michael Caine is brilliant choice for such role. Michael Caine is a brilliant actor, just as well, but his choice of roles is notoriously wayward when it comes to commercial issues, of course. Like he’s, on porpoise choosing only the once he wants. However, if we take ...
...kill him for working with the Nazis in II World War. Plodding and predictable, it follows Caine's on the run as he seeks help from the Catholic Church. All those years Catholic clergy is giving him financial support, to live comfortably undercover. Well, better say Catholic sects orders, but eventually, the Pope is cutting the help off him. The most terrifying detail in the film, is that Catholic monks and priests, at the convents and sect secret ... Read review

Why Wait Until Dark?
Review of Wait Until Dark DVD by anonymili

Advantages: Audrey Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn
Disadvantages: none really

...handed over. ~*~ Wait Until Dark was released in 1968 and starred Audrey Hepburn as Susy, Alan Arkin as Roat, Richard Crenna as Mike, with support from Jack Weston as Carlino, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. as Sam and Julie Herrod as Gloria. It was originally a play by writer Frederick Knott which opened on Broadway in February 1966. Julie Herrod played Gloria in the theatre version as well as in the film and Lee Remick was the original Susy in the play. ...
...even more intense as you wait for him to show his true colours but when he does, it's not in quite the way I imagined. I've never been a big fan of Crenna in the past, but I really liked him in this role. Then again, I don't recall seeing him in many films from the 60s - he does look rather dashing in this film so I guess he was a very good choice - his good looks and charisma - made for an all round believable suave small-time crook. It was really ... Read review
