I thought this film was ok actually. You can tell it was made on a bit of a budget but to get Jimmy Caan, Vinny Pastore and Frank Vincent in to do you a favour you can tell Provanzano still has some connections. Good up to date heist idea without losing the mafia routes of theft and violence!
Some of the dialouge is really funny, a sense of improv on some of it but its keeping in touch with the story and builds a better picture of the characters and their background.
If youre not a big mafia / gangster film fan then id probably leave this one alone but if youre like me and intrigued by cosa nostra stories, characters and betrayals then give it a go. I wouldnt pay anymore than a fiver for it though. Remember not to try to compare it to Sopranos!
