Advantages: Great acting with an all star cast. Disadvantages: None.
I think i first saw this movie about 11 years ago and I have watched it again many times since then, it's one of those great action movies that stick in your mind and you dont get tired of watching.
It stars Susan Sarandon and Geena Davies who are fed -up with their boring everyday lives who decide to leave their equally boring boyfriend and hubby for a weekend of excitement and freedom.
The first place they go to is a bar where they have a few drinks and generally have a good tjme enjoying themselves and dancing with some of the locals, but things soon turn nasty when one of the men follows Thelma into the car park and tries to rape her, in retaliation Louise shoots and accidentally kills him.
While on the run from the police they get mixed up in all sorts of trouble, they meet a young cowboy along the way ( a very young ...

This is a great chick flick its the story of thelma a woman that does what ever her husband says and is very naive and louise a hard faced waitress up is fed up with her boyfriend.
They set of on a road trip together to go fishing but pull over at a bar for a drink and something to eat and thats where things start to go wrong thelma gets drunk and starts having fun with the wrong guy because as soon as louises back is turned thelma is taken out to the car park and his almost raped untill louise finds them and shoots the man with a gun thelma brought with her and then thats when it all begins they go on the run from the police ...

In THELMA AND LOUISE, fed up with her boyfriend, live-wire Arkansas waitress Louise Sawyer persuades her friend Thelma Dickinson, a naive housewife burdened with a negligent, sexist husband, to hit the road with her for a weekend of freedom. One of their first stops is a bar where the women relax, dance, and flirt with some of the locals. But the situation turns ugly when one man follows Thelma to the parking lot and attempts to rape her, causing Louise to shoot and accidentally kill him. Convinced that the police will never believe their version of the incident, the women take off, now fugitives from the law. Emboldened by recent events, Thelma picks up young cowboy J.D. in Oklahoma and enjoys a one-night stand that leads to even more trouble. In BULL DURHAM, Crash Davis, a twelve-year baseball player at the end of his career, is assigned to coach a young but wild pitcher, nick-named Nuke. But a sultry hooker gets to him first and teaches him something completely different.
