Advantages: Quite easy to follow Disadvantages: Repetitive/Annoying music
This DVD starts off with Charlie Brooks telling us how she used these exercises and "a healthy diet" to lose all the weight she put on during her pregnancy. They have a clip of her before she started exercising and was being weighed and measured, then again when she was halfway through her goal, and then at the end when she achieved her target weight.
The DVD has five sections - each lasting approx 10 minutes. In each Charlie does exercise while her trainer Dee Thresher tells us what steps to do.
1. WARM UP
This definitely warms you up!! Some of the steps are a bit complicated to follow at first and Dee Thresher doesn't explain them very well, but I managed to follow after about the 4th time of working through the DVD.
2. DISCO
This section is supposed to be fun dancing round your living room - but the most you do is cha ...
Advantages: Wonderfully inventive, often moving music from the master Disadvantages: A few wrong moments
I find it strange no one has ever written about Before and After Science previously. When shopping for CDs in Paris I remember noticing that they had Before and After Science stickered as being one of the 100 most important albums of all time and rightly so. The title suggests the duality in the album: the more pop orientated King?s Lead Hat and Backwater; then the more progressive, experimental nature of Kurt?s Rejoinder and Through These Lands. Pop is Before Science; the experimental is After Science; this being all ...
Advantages: Fun, encouraging and adaptable. The moves are really well explained. Disadvantages: Quite pricey (but I thought it was worth the money)
I've tried a few fitness DVDs and this has been the best so far. As the bright pink cover suggests it's quite girly, but not to the point of that being a problem. It's split into several sections, which is great because you can mix and match depending on which ones you like best and how much time you want to exercise for.
I never stuck with any DVDbefore, but this is great because you can adapt it to suit your fitness level. It's really tough and I couldn't go all the way through when I first got it, so I did the warmup on its own every day, and 3 times a week I added one of the other sections on to the end. That way I built up my fitness level gradually and the difficulty increased as I got fitter.
The moves aren't difficult because they're really well explained and demonstrated, while the whole DVD has a friendly ...
