I'm Elise and I like to write what I dislike and like about things. I especially like to review TV shows and hotels, because I like staying at places and I love watching TV. I'm a sci-fi geek at heart!

I always loved the X-Files and I've only just got to series three of this boxset, but I cannot stop watching it. Here's the background, I bought season one boxset years ago and still have yet to open it and then I saw this amazing boxset in a sale for just £64. Despite the journey I was on and the weight it would be, I had to buy it. I could not believe the amazing savings I had made on it. Since I bought, on a weeknight I cannot stop watching the episodes and since the end of June I have managed to get to just into the beginning of season three.
The packaging is not great and the external picture on my version of the boxset (which includes the first film) is also not great or really that encompassing of the entire show and the pictures on each individual year are not that brilliant. A little bit out there, maybe.
The really nifty thing is the little booklet that gives a few line summary of every episode and a brief overview of the year and how the show did in that physical year with regards to the cult following that still exists today. This helps for anyone that maybe cannot remember everything about the show and wants a small reminder or just wants to watch particular episodes.
I'm not going to discuss the episodes or the special features because if you're an X-phile you would want this anyway. If you're new to the show, what's the point in me spoiling it for you. Either way, new or existing fan, this boxset is a must have. Whilst not the prettiest looking boxset, it does have everything you want from it. I would say if you're a new fan, try and get it cheaper for it's normal retail price because some of the episodes are not for everyone. The conspiracy based ones can be a bit heavy, but on the otherhand, the non-alien based episodes may bore you.
