On of those series you just have to watch before you die. Need I say anything else? Ok I will. This is excellent viewing all 9 series of the X files. This intelligent gripping and sometimes dame right scary series is brilliant to watch late at night just before you go to bed. The series focuses on a loner, Mulder, who gets pushed to the basement of the FBI building to work on his obsession with the paranormal. And on queue walks the intelligent beautiful scientist, Scully to bring Mulder back to earth again. This compelling series is a must see and every episode leads on to the bigger conspiracy, ARE WE ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE? The series then goes from Mulder to Doggett, played by terminator 2’s T1000, Jason Patrick, adding a breath of fresh air and more excitement. The X Files is constantly good with only a few episodes in the entire series which go out on a tangent and a are bit weak, but the other 95% of the box set makes up and more.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
Advantages: mulder, scully, the smoking man, different story every episode, running plot. Disadvantages: You can't watch it with someone who hates it, you end up hating them!
