This amazing film that was created in 1939 is still an all time classic for all ages and is the most beloved motion picture of all time! The amazing change from balck and white to colour makes this film stand out from the rest. The amazing detail and colour of the costumes and surroundings make this film glamorous and cheerful. It it not just the colours and the costumes that make this film so fabulous to watch but the infectious songs along dorothys journey as she encounters friends and problems. It is also very imaginative as this you have never seen before such as flying monkeys come to life.
Dorothy Gale played by the outstanding Judy Garland finds herself trapped with her beloved dog toto in her house which has been lifted into the murky grey skys of cansas by a tornado which propells her into munchkin land where she begins her famous journey along the yellow brick road to ask the Wizard of Oz to return her home to her beloved aunty em.
Along the way she meets a scarecrow played by Ray Bolger, a tinman played by Jack Hayley and a lion played by Bert Lahr. The three sctors also play her three friends from home that work on the farm in cansas.
Along the way Dorothy encounters numerous problems with the wiked witch of the west who is after Dorothys ruby slippers. It will have you at the edge of your seat wondering is Dorothy escapes the evil clutches of the wicked witch and finds her way home to cansas.
This is a must see film and i strongly recommend for all ages.
