Has anybody else had emails come from ciao saying you have contacted them because you can't log in? Just wondering if somebody is trying to hack into the accounts as I know I certainly didn't contact ciao about logging in! Hmmm...

I had never even heard of this film when I bought it but, because it was on offer and because of the two lead actors who I have always liked I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. I am very glad I did really as it is a pretty good film.
The film was written by Elizabeth Young and Dana Fox and directed by Clare Kilner.
The story: Kat is successful and living in New York. However she is still single and when a trip beckons to London to attend her half sister Amy's wedding, she needs a date to take with her and fast! She wants to make her ex fiancé, Jeffrey, jealous who, also happens to be the best man and so she hires a gorgeous escort named Nick to be her 'boyfriend' for the trip at a huge cost of $6000! The family are shocked to find she has bagged herself such a gorgeous man but, will it all come out who he really is?
The cast: Well as I mentioned part of the reason I was drawn to buying this film was because of the two lead actors and so I hoped they would be able to make the film an interesting watch. I was not disappointed! The main cast list is below -
Kat - Debra Messing Nick - Dermot Mulroney Amy - Amy Shields Jeffrey - Jeremy Sheffield Edward - Jack Davenport Victor Ellis - Peter Egan Bunny - Holland Taylor TJ - Sarah Parish
I always love how Debra Messing comes across on screen - she is very natural I think and this is what adds to this film as she plays the vulnerable woman so well who portrays what probably so many would feel in this situation of having to attend a wedding and seeing your ex once again who you are still in love with! Dermot is so charming in the film and really does play the role very well of the handsome man who knows exactly what to say and when! He is smooth and suave and not cocky which makes him more appealing. When I first watched this film I hadn't really seen any of the other actors or actresses in anything apart from Sarah Parish who only really has a small role anyway but, the actress who plays Amy has since gone onto to play the main role in the Disney film 'Enchanted'. She is certainly good in her role here as the ditzy, selfish woman who only thinks of herself. Jack Davenport had previously starred in the Pirates of the Caribbean and this is about the only film I know him from - his role in the wedding date is that of a very simple and slightly geeky character really who can't believe he has managed to bag a hot young woman!
Extras: My DVD has a few extras too which are - Photo gallery Production notes Cast and crew The making of The Wedding date Theatrical trailer
My favourite by far is the cast and crew and the making of as I always like to see what goes on behind the scenes and like it when I can see what the cast have to say! Nothing else really stands out and to be honest I am always confused as to why the trailer really has to be included as if you're going to watch the film anyway once you have the DVD, why would you need to see the trailer?
Overall opinion: I truly enjoyed this film a lot as I found the storyline although not new, fun and easy to get into. The film doesn't need you to have a lot of brain power to enjoy it so it is a perfect film to watch anytime you just want to chill out. Yes it is a bit predictable but what romance film isn't? The cast are well chosen and for the price you can find this film retailing at I'm sure you won't be disappointed by it!
The film is available to buy from various high street and online stores and you should be able to get a copy from around the £4 mark. The film is rated 12 due to some mild sex reference and nudity.
