I'm not exactly sure of the date this film was made, but it was late 70's early 80's I think. I dont think this film was ever very popular in its own right, but its my all time favourite movie. The plot is an American family consisting of Mum, Dad, a teenage daughter and another daughter pre-teens moves to a old run down house in the English countryside. This large house is owned by an elderly mysterious women who still resides on the property, but in a small cottage on her own. She is very morbid looking, and the reason is she lost her daughter to mysterious circumstance so many years back. It turns out that the teenage girl who just moved to the property is very alike to her daughter. As the film progresses, it seems that this womans daughter is trying to communicate in a "unexplained" way... cold breezes in the woods, mirrors cracking on their own, channel though the younger sister. In these days, this film is very out-of-date, but I still love it. Its scary enough to send a shiver up your spine, but not scary in a blood and guts kind of way. I would class this as a mystery film, and the ending is smashing. It's a typical 70-80's Disney film, but if you go in open-minded, it should prove enjoyable, light-hearted viewing.
