The Van Damme Six Pack (Box Set)

Advantages: Excellent for all ages and the best fight scenes on dvd!
Disadvantages: Not so good on disk or box quility

...Excellent boxset of dvds mabe not the best quality box or disk but the film quility is awsom and the ultimate kickass films if you are after killer fights and a history of martial arts. Maybe a few years back but Van Damme has made three excellent movies great for all ages so just sit back and relax and prepare for a set of martial arts thrillers. Kick boxer: legendary film with an excellent story line, the best fight movie and all time other than A.W.O.L. Savate: Yet another great release from van damme one that will not let u sleep so easily. Extreme Dragon: Got some of the best fight scenes out of the three with some of the best actors and a great story line.... Read review

Advantages: Van Damme action
Disadvantages: Lame film

...One of Van Damme's first films and he will be glad that it was. At least he hadn't gotten much of a following at that point. If he had, it would have destroyed his career! The plot is almost non-existent, set in post-apocalyptic future with a disease ravaging the American nation...scientists are close to the cure and Gibson (Van Damme) is en route to help spur them on. The action isn't too bad, but as always in these films you get the whole Van Damme kicking the living hell out of people with ease to come up against a dumb opponent at the end where he nearly loses just to put up a spirited fight back at the end to claim the victory....cliched to the hilt. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are a Van Damme follower who has yet to see this film.... Read review

Advantages: A Van Damme movie that doesn’t insult your intelligence for some of the time....
Disadvantages: A bit too out there for the average Van Damme fan, perhaps?

...for a demanding viewer such as myself (a neat touch with an inflatable parachute shaped as a basketball which it’s occupant uses to slow down velocity being trapped inside it!). A few Van Damme AND your standard action hero-type cliches are unavoidable as we witness a recurence of such familiar favourites of hesistating before shooting women, Van Damme showing himself off through nudity AND Van Damme showing off his ability to do the splits. The film shifts from scenario to scenario WITHOUT much narrative care. Of course, the initial set-piece which starts with the attempt to shoot a villain in an amusement park BUT doesn’t (well, not in front of the villain’s kid anyway....) is occasionally muddled.
