Advantages: Good solid PPV, nothing too bad. Disadvantages: No outstanding super duper matches.
WWE Unforgiven 2002
Unforgiven. Who deserves no forgiveness; Saddam Hussein, Bin Laden, Ian Huntley ? probably. But does Brock Lesnar deserve forgiveness? Probably not either, as he looks genuinely nasty. So the event is built up, but does it deliver or it is just another filler PPV?
This event happened in September 2002, and was released by Silvervision in early 2003, so it has been around for a good while now. It is certificate 15 because of the blood loss during The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar match, and the general violence throughout the DVD. The DVD runs for 176 minutes in total that includes the 3 hours of PPV action and the extras. You?re treated to Michael Cole and Tazz commentating on the Smackdown matches and Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler commentating on the Raw matches. Both of these combos are ok, nothing special. However ...
Advantages: High Standard Of Action & Entertainment Disadvantages: Not Enough Extras
Unforgiven is one of the many PPV's wwe puts together each year,
this one features the RAW brand superstars as they battle it out for pride, titles and there career's. The pyro goes off and the croud roars as the show opens, first up is "The Winners Broadcast Raw Match" which features J.R & Jerry "The King" Lawler (the oringinal broadcast team) Vs The Coach & Al Snow. Its not often you get to see the brodcast team wrestle, so it makes for an intresting and entertaining match, and all four men worked the match well.
Even more entertaining though was the six-man table match featuring the Dudley boys & spike dudley vs La Resistance & Rob conway, the object of this match is to drive your opponents through tables to win, a match the dudleys are famous for.
This gives them the upper hand in this match but this match was well worked and la ...
Advantages: Fantastic acting and atmosphere Disadvantages: Nothing really
of such quality of acting can often go the wrong way and be a bit of a disaster, with each one clamouring for top spot, but it is the humility all four show that wins the film its praiseworthy awards and critiques. I found it enthralling all the way through, and have happily watched it a few times now, each time riveted to the screen. If you're a fan of Westerns, don't miss out on a chance to see this. It has all the magic and atmosphere of the oldies, as well as the more modern feel of a 90s action film, with some excellent dialogue, and top work from those in front of and behind the camera.
The DVD is currently available from amazon.co.uk for low prices. It's well worth snapping this up and keeping hold of, as it's one of those films you can watch over and over and pick up something new each time. ...
The Zachary family and the white settlers in the area hide their fears and resentment towards the local Indians after years of unrest and bloodshed. Now the Zachary family find their lives are blighted by the arrival of a former soldier. Based on a novel by Alan Le May.
It's 1865 and the southwest is plagued by post-Civil War tensions. But beautiful, winsome Rachel Zachary lives blithely with her mother Matilda on a Texas Panhandle cattle ranch. The Zacharys are a hearty frontier family finally reunited when brothers Ben, Cash and Andy return from a long trip. One day, an old family foe reappears and begins circulating vicious rumours about Rachel: that she was taken from an Indian tribe, clandestinely adopted by the family and passed off as white. Once provoked, the local Kiowa Indians band together to reclaim their lost daughter. Violence ensues and Rachel's betrothed, a feeble-minded white settler, is killed. Outraged, the homesteaders demand to know more about Rachel's birth. After all, why would the Kiowa attack if Rachel weren't of Indian blood
