French Mediterranean, hiring himself out as a mercenary ?transporter? who moves goods - human or otherwise - from one place to another. No questions asked. Carrying out mysterious and sometimes dangerous tasks in his tricked-out BMW, Frank adheres to a strict set of rules, which he never breaks. Rule One: Never change the deal. Rule Two: No names - Frank doesn't want to know whom he's working for, or what he's transporting. Rule Three: never look in the package. However, when Frank discovers his newest transport contains a beautiful, gagged woman, violating Rule Three, he proceeds to break his other two rules and make up his own code of survival.

Advantages: Watching Jason kick some a*ses! Disadvantages: Some of the stunts are a little far fetched?

Since Jason Statham was awsome in Snatch and Lock Stock, I thought the Transporter (I and II) would be equally good. Unfortunately, it is far, far from being as good BUT.... if you are a fan of films like XXX and action packed movies with crazy stunts and mad fight scenes, then you should enjoy it. Jason (Frank Martin in the film) did most of the stunts himself, which is quite an achievement in itself. In my opinion, the first film was way better than the second one, in that the story line was more complex and the acting from the supporting cast a lot less dodgy. The car chases are most enjoyable in both but in the second one, one of the stunts in nothing short of 'appalling'. Frank Martin ends up with a bomb stuck under his car so he simply gets rid of the unwanted bomb by taking off sideways and grazing a pillar which knocks it off. Another pretty dodgy stunt was when he drives off the roof of a building and lands on the building opposite (but not on the roof!) a few levels down as the car just slides in between two levels!!! The attempt to better the stunt with change of angle half way through the jump still doesn't make it any better. Watch out for the most annoying/appalling 'actress' of all time in the Transporter II, who is the 'bad girl' on the baddies side. She is a model and not actress and that's what she should have stuck to!!!! Her 'acting' is dreadful (I have reservations in calling it acting) and every time she opens her mouth it makes you cringe!! Still, she gets what she deserves in the end!
Finally, and this is only from a woman's perspective, Jason is hot, hot, hot... so watching him fight baddies with no top on was the highlight of the films. His body is amazing and I could listen to his voice for hours on end. I know he's not every girls' dream but if you are a fan of his, you'll be watching them more than once!
All in all, if you can try and forget the inevitable feeling of "this could never happen in real life", you will spend an enjoyable few hours with some great fight scenes! And if you're a lady and a fan of Jason, you will dream for hours afterwards about Jason 'the lovable rogue' rescuing you from a house in flame!
