Titanic was hyped to oblivion in the build up to the release and stories of failure were common place, the most expensive film of all time was going to fail. Nothing could be further from the truth and having seen the film I am glad that the film was made. I always had an interest In the Titanic disaster and to have the tale told in such detail was facinating. Leo attracted much attention of course. In this day and age, with films able to transport us to any point in time or space and beyond, I feel that we become blasé to seeing fantastic sights coming from the screen. The Titanic was almost recreated in the main set and it was this that took most of the money to build. It is a fantastic movie and you already know the story so this should be to fill in the gaps and to watch a wonderful sideline, the fictional plot !
