Advantages: Great Disney Classic Lovingly restored

...Note: This was originally my 1st review, I wasn't really happy with it so have decided to re-write it. Hopefully it will be a lot better now. My husband bought me this for Valentines Day; I'd loved the film as a kid and thought it was a great present. This is the first time that this particular Disney film has appeared on DVD and in order to release it, it has been lovingly restored and picture quality excellent. The artwork is excellent it's a shame they don't make them like this anymore. I saw it when I was little, but it was better than I remembered. I must say I fell in love with it all over again. Bambi was first shown in Cinemas in 1942, but work on the film originally started in 1936. Acknowledged by Walt Disney himself as his favourite film. Advantages: a good drama that will pass an evening
Disadvantages: destined to be in the woolworths bargain bin

...This program is the fourth release in the "war prison camp series." It is 1942, and we will journey behind the bars of a Japanese WWII jungle prison. The film is nothing different from any other war film but well worth having if your into your dvd collection. If you have seen the like of harts war then this could be the film for you, following the journey of a prisnor of war you are privy to the emotional rollercoaster that he goes through, from hate, to compassion to friendship. It is a film that explores the human psychi under the pressure of war and gives an insight to the workings of his mind. Worth a watch regardless of whether your after a classic or not... Read review

The DVD takes you to an interview with Air Marshall Sir Hugh Dowding talking about the expeiences of WWII and into the Blitzkriegs and the Spitfires against bomber formations. Then we step into Eagle Day, The Moment that the Luftwaffe were going to Crush the RAF in the Skies and on the Ground. There is also some details of the Battle of Malta, this Battle wasn't well known about. (A bit about it!) In 1942 the Axis Powers decided to squash the tiny Island of Malta as the RAF had staged Sorties against Axis Supply Ships heading for North Africa.
