Advantages: Great day out for kids age 5 - 11, fun for adults too! Disadvantages: Restaurant prices for meals are expensive
The summer holidays are here, well 4 more weeks to go hoooray! anyway, i always find it hard come the holidays trying to figure out what i'm going to do with my 5 year old daughter to keep her occupied and out of trouble!! after a few days out already we decided to try GulliversWorld in Warrington, which is roughly 25 minutes away from where we live, we set off early (about 9:15am, the park opens at 10:30 am) so thought we had plenty of time to get there, unfortunately we got lost ending up driving around Warrington town centre for 20 minutes trying to find any signs to point us in the right direction! luckily, by pure chance we drove up some main road and spotted a sign, so 10 minutes later we arrived at the park, spot on 10:30am, there was quite a few people there already, so the queue to get in wasn't too bad, the prices were ...
Advantages: Good for the kids Disadvantages: Not for teenagers
35 rides in Gulliver?s, probably more now as I know there are new rides coming for 2004.
There is a train ride that goes all the way round the park, it?s a great ride for the kids.
One which my daughter loved was the balloon Ferris wheel, it?s a mini ride of the big Ferris wheel, and your carriage in the shape of a balloon, doesn?t go too fast so kids would love it.
In Main Street its set out in a kind of Western theme (the sort you would see on the TV and cowboy films) you can watch a show there, which is a good one to watch.
There is a horse carousel in the main street too.
We spent a lot of time in the under 5-play area which is the main street area.
A few other rides you will find here are,
The rocking tugboat, it goes from side to side. You have probably seen a bigger version of this in Chessington World of Adventures ...
Advantages: Few queues for rides Disadvantages: Queues for food, standard of toilets
As it was coming up to my daughter's 3rd birthday I decided to take her to Gulliver's World in Warrington. I knew it would be better suited to her than the likes of Alton Towers etc as it caters for the very young.
When we arrived we noticed it was £10.30 for Adults and also £10.30 for children, however children under 90cm were free. My daughter was a little over 90cm so we had to pay the £10.30. I was a little annoyed at this, however I realised that we had paid £9 for a wristband a month ago at Knowsley Safari Park for unlimited rides, so it wasn?t too bad. Plus the majority of the rides were catered for her age range.
We had arrived at lunch time so decided to get something to eat. After waiting 20 mins to be served (only 1 couple in front of us!) we decided we?d try somewhere else later. Little did we know we?d later come to ...
