James Cameron's THE TERMINATOR is one of the tightest, tensest sci-fi films ever made and a landmark in the genre. In the year 2029, battles rage between the superintelligent...
more...machines that rule the world and the last vestiges of humanity. In late-20th-century Los Angeles, Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) suddenly finds herself stalked by an unstoppable killing machine--a Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) sent from the future to kill her and her unconceived son, John Connor, the future leader of the human resistance. Sarah can rely only on Reese (Michael Biehn), a soldier sent from the future to protect her from the seemingly indestructible Terminator and save humanity. This low-budget masterpiece was the breakthrough film for director Cameron, who weds special effects, thrills, and understated romance to create one of the finest action films of the 1980s, which spawned many imitations but few equals. Science fiction author Harlan Ellison sued over the film's similarities to his own works, especially the OUTER LIMITS episode Demon with a Glass Hand, and won acknowledgement in the film's credits. Schwarzenegger will forever be known as the relentless Terminator, a heartless killing machine who returns (in a kinder, gentler form) in 1991's TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY. In this sequel, a deadly shape-shifting assassin (Robert Patrick) is sent back in time to succeed where his cyborg predecessor failed--to eliminate Sarah Connor's son (Edward Furlong) before he gets a chance to make history, leading the humans in a war against the machines. The original cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger) also returns, but this time as the boy's protector.

Well what can I say but for anyone that like the terminator this is a must have. I cant think of a better present for a terminator fan. This box set ranks highly in my opinion. They look great and are definitely worth the money. I bought two of these, one for my self and one as a gift. For me having a widescreen meant that i had to watch my films in widescreen and now I usually only buy widescreen films. I no that the terminator is quite old and that's why it contains little/no bonus or extra material. But if I could add anything to the set, it would be like 4 discs of extra content. this set contains Films 1 and 2 with bonus features for both. unfortuatly it doesnt contain the third film but its still good non-the less.

The plot of Film 1.

In the future (2029) the world is a very different place. A defence system called skynet which is ment to protect mandkind by controling all missile and other defence mechanisms. now the system has got out of control and is now at war with the humans. so the war betwen the humans and the machines has been going on for a long time and finally the humans lead by John Connor are just about to win the war. In a last ditch atempt to win the machines send back a teminator. This is a machine looking exactly like a human and almost invincible and has only one mission, to kill sarah connor (the mother of John before he is born). there is only one hope. at the same time one of the human soldiers is sent back with knowlage of this plan and he has to protect her. Its a race of time to find Sarah. Who will be able to carry out their mission. will she die or live.
this is a non stop thriller and definatley a classic.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day

As 10 years have passed, John has now been born and has grown into childhood. but now another teminator has been sent back. One that is powerfull and Dangerous than the last. Now the Target has changed from Sarah to John. and once again a protector has been sent back for the protection of John. From breathtaking stunts and pyrotechniques you will be kept on the edge of your seat until the very end of the film.

But the overall package looks really stylish and cool on my shelves. I also love the Plot, its original and exciting. If I didn't have it this product I would buy it. Definitely worth the money.
