The Four Horses of the Apocalypse, these film kick ass. These films stand for one thing. Being the best.

But anyway Predator what can i say? it rules. Having Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura, and Kevin Peter Hall hunt a alien that is far more advanced then them in everyway, but they do it anyway, thats called being a man. As the soldiers make their way to the extraction point, they are observed by an unknown creature, who uses infrared imaging to see. Which i have to say still looks awesome today. Once members of the team are slain mysteriously, they become aware that something in the jungle is stalking them, whose presence is confirmed by eerie sightings of a cloaked figure.

The acting maybe a little cheesy at times but other than that is amazing. There are some tongue in cheek moments when Dutch Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and CIA agent, George Dillon (Carl Weathers) have a sacking hand arm wrestle and there is a close up of there arms. I'm guessing just to show they 'guns'.

As i have said the special effects are still cool to watch. The soundtrack as awesome and the explosions look great if your not going to by this box set I strongly recommend buying this.

Commando, more like ComMANdo. come on. Man's in its name. John Matrix (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is a special forces soldier who once led an elite unit and has left the armed forces to live in a secluded mountain home with his daughter Jenny (Alyssa Milano). Unknown to Matrix, the members of his former unit are being killed one by one. Even though Matrix's friend Gen. Franklin Kirby gives Matrix armed guards, attackers manage to kidnap Matrix and Jenny. It a little like Predator, in the way of his team being killed one by one but theres it more of i story behind this than have heart stopping action. Don't get me wrong this film is loaded with it but it is built on more than explosions.. But there are a lot.

The is great there is some comedy thrown in there and the special effects look cool. This film is decently one to look out for.

The Terminator, Manator. what can i say that hasn't been said already?
Everyone knows it is a great film.

In 2029, machines control the world and are bent on the extermination of humans. The machines send back someone from the future to May 12, 1984. This mysterious muscular man (Arnold Schwarzenegger) obtains weapons and begins hunting down anyone listed as Sarah Connor in the phone book.

Arnold Schwarzenegger played the bad guy in this film. But even though he does, he is still the main force of the film. This film I would say has the best story line because the fact of they are still making Terminator films. A new film, which hasn't got Arnold Schwarzenegger in it, is set to come out 2009.

But anyway back to this film. Acting great special effects are great story lines great. I cant really say more that hasn't been said. Bottom line get this movie.

And the last on our list. The Barbarian, Conan the Barbarian for it full title. In my eyes the weakest on the list. The story is about Conan, who witnesses the destruction of his village at the hand of three Vanir warlords: Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) and Doom's lieutenants, Rexor (Ben Davidson) and Thorgrim (Sven-Ole Thorsen). Conan's father (William Smith) valiantly fights the bandits, but Thorgrim and Rexor kill him with their pack of dogs. The battle is burned into the memory of young Conan.

It was a great film but it was a great film. Looking back on it how it hasn't aged well. The acting is a bit laughable at times and the 'special effects' are not really want I would called special effect. The story line is good however and when the acting isn't over the top its great. The soundtrack is also cool and fits with the film. But maybe I am being a little to harsh. It was released in 1982 well over twenty years ago and it would have be top technology back then. So have a look at this but don't take it to seriously.

Well there you have it, Four great Arnold movies. Wired to think that the Terminator is the Governor of California.

...but for anyone that like the terminator this is a must have. I cant think of a better present for a terminator fan. This box set ranks highly in my opinion. They look great and are definitely worth the money. I bought two of these, one for my self and one as a gift. For me having a widescreen meant that i had to watch my films in widescreen and now I usually only buy widescreen films. I no that the terminator is quite old and that's why it contains ...
...add anything to the set, it would be like 4 discs of extra content. this set contains Films 1 and 2 with bonus features for both. unfortuatly it doesnt contain the third film but its still good non-the less. The plot of Film 1. In the future (2029) the world is a very different place. A defence system called skynet which is ment to protect mandkind by controling all missile and other defence mechanisms. now the system has got out of control and ... Read review

DVD Description

James Cameron's THE TERMINATOR is one of the tightest, tensest sci-fi films ever made and a landmark in the genre. In the year 2029, battles rage between the superintelligent machines that rule the world and the last vestiges of humanity. In late-20th-century Los Angeles, Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) suddenly finds herself stalked by an unstoppable killing machine--a Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) sent from the future to kill her and her unconceived son, John Connor, the future leader of the human resistance. Sarah can rely only on Reese (Michael Biehn), a soldier sent from the future to protect her from the seemingly indestructible Terminator and save humanity. This low-budget masterpiece was the breakthrough film for director Cameron, who weds special effects, thrills, and understated romance to create one of the finest action films of the 1980s, which spawned many imitations but few equals. Science fiction author Harlan Ellison sued over the film's similarities to his own works, especially the OUTER LIMITS episode Demon with a Glass Hand, and won acknowledgement in the film's credits. Schwarzenegger will forever be known as the relentless Terminator, a heartless killing machine who returns (in a kinder, gentler form) in 1991's TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY. In this sequel, a deadly shape-shifting assassin (Robert Patrick) is sent back in time to succeed where his cyborg predecessor failed--to eliminate Sarah Connor's son (Edward Furlong) before he gets a chance to make history, leading the humans in a war against the machines. The original cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger) also returns, but this time as the boy's protector.
