SpyGame is a first rate thiller that will keep you glued to your seat throughout.
Story:
Set in 1991, the film starts with the U.S. and Chinese Governments on the verge of a major trade agreement. The CIA are then informed that their operative Tom Bishop (Brad Pitt) has been captured trying to free an woman, Elizabeth Hadley (Catherine McCormack), from a Chinese prison near Su Chou. He is being held for questioning but is unwilling to talk and therefore is being tortured and will be executed within 24 hrs unless he is claimed by the U.S. Government. The govournment must decide whether to save their man and risk destroying their trade agreement with China or leave him there.
Nathan Muir (Robert Redford), an aging case officer, who is on his last day before retirement is brought in to try to end this quickly, for he was the man ...

Advantages: Entertaining story, with good twists and turns Disadvantages: a little confusing if yu aren't paying attention.
ground information on the agent and discover a lot about his past, however as Muir begins to work out who the target was he sets about hatching a plan to free Bishop as the CIA are happy to wash there hands of him, but as Muir feels responsible (I’m not telling you why) he feels he should try to help Bishop.
Now SpyGame isn’t just an action film, it also requires a lot of thought, and a bit like Rules Of Engagement it does involve a lot of scene’s where they are talking things over but I feel this makes for a better film. It works well, having Muir looking back over events and going through Bishop’s training. The film also deals with a lot of global politics, and the involvement of the CIA in all that has gone on and although based on it isn’t a true story you cant help but feel parts of it have been drawn ...

and the missions they undertook together and the woman that nearly destroyed their friendship forever.
this action packed film was a big hit at the box office early this year and its now out to rent or buy and will be on sky box office in early november.
