A brilliant musical with an ecellent story line and great songs. The basic story line is a nunn being sent into a strict familt with seven children and a captain. the family are rich and the captain lost his wife. Maria ( the nunn ) falls in love with the captain but has problems along the way incluyding competition with a rich lady.

the actors are great and is well performed by the children. it is quite an old film but can reflect on peoples lives. there is a slight un believeable part when she goes back and that the children dont no ow to sing but that is the only fault .
