Full review
This is the director's (Michael Reeves) third feature film, not quite as entertaining as the superior Witchfinder General which was to be his fourth and final directorial effort.

Boris Karloff (this being one of the last of his films too) stars as Professor Montserrat who has discovered how to control a persons' mind and sensations through hypnotism. He has high hopes of his discovery and dreams of fame and fortune. He and his wife are living in poverty.

Ian Ogilvy plays Mike Roscoe the unwitting and unfortunate test subject.

Estelle (Karloff's wife) is played by Catherine Lacey.

As time goes on she becomes more obsessed and enjoys the power of being able to control someone elses actions.Eventually she makes Roscoe kill. Can Monserrat stop her before she makes Roscoe kill again?
