***IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS SERIES AND DO NOT WANT PLOT SPOILERS DO NOT READ ON***
It's been about six months between watching season 5 and season 6. For a start I would've appreciated a bit of a recap in episode 1, this never happened leaving a little out of sorts and striving to remember what happened previously. This said however episode one was a fantastic kick start to the season and really performed in true Soprano style.
Unlike many TV shows which tend to deteriorate the longer they go on, Sopranos Season Six lives up to it's true form and is consistent throughout. At the end of episode one Tony is shot by his uncle Junior who's continuing to lose his marbles and has been for some time now.
The following two episodes continue with Tony in a coma in critical condition with little chance of survival. The family and The "Family" start to pull together and lend their support but cracks start to appear when Silvi becomes acting Boss while Tony is incapaciated. Paulie is still as tight as ever and when he gets hold of a million dollars during a blood bath attack on some low-lifes he's reluctant to give everyone their cut. Silvi suffers an asthma attack and Chris wants to make it back in the movie industry and produce a Saw/Godfather II slasher movie called Cleaver.
In episode 2 and 3 whilst Tony is in his coma we see him playing a series of events in his mind where it seems he's being shown the way to Heaven maybe? I didn't quite get the gist of it to be honest but basically he has to choose life or death. A Few old characters pop every now and then too, the dead ones of course, Adriana (Chris' fiance) and Tony Blundetto (Tonys Cousin). The change that starts to occur within Tony after his near death experience is touching and well scripted.
As the series progresses we see AJ try to kill Junior for shooting Tony, Chris delves back into the drink and drugs habit and Vito's homeosexuality is found out and he goes on the run!
The Season ran nicely and I can't believe it's going to be coming to an end after what is nicely titled "The final 9 episodes" (not really a new season but a continuation of season 6). But overall a fantastic programme and well worth watching. But, you do need to have watched it from Season One to know what's going on as some story lines stem from earlier seasons.
The only negative thing I can say about Sopranos is sometimes story lines can just end without another word and some scenes can jump quite quickly and you feel as though you're out of the loop.
Thanks for reading!

I hope you don't mind if I make a suggestion? There was a lot of information in your review but it was quite hard to read all bunched up together. Reviews that are broken up into smaller paragraphs and have a blank space between them are easier for others to read and it also gives a nice overall look to the review.
