The story of Saints and Soldiers is set in December 1944 , Belgium, Ardennes Forest. The film begins with a group of allied prisoners who have been captured by the dastardly Germans. A commotion in the prisoners starts and one of them manages to prise a gun from a German soldier and shoot him. The Germans being the cruel fiends they are, open fire on the captured American soldiers while they are fleeing towards the trees to ...
Advantages: Action Packed, Funny, Exciting and Tense Disadvantages: Werewolf's weren't 100%, but nothing really.
I’m sure many of you will have different opinions; nevertheless I have to say before Dog Soldiers, I had never seen a werewolf movie I really enjoyed:
‘Ginger Snaps’ didn’t do it for me, I thought ‘Brotherhood of the Wolf’ wasn’t great and I noticed the age in ‘An American Werewolf in London/Paris’.
I first saw Dog Soldiers round a friends mid Last year, the very next week I brought it for myself on DVD. It is simply brilliant, best described as addictive and it is one of those films you can watch over and over again, still getting the same amount of excitement you received from the first time you watched it!
Dog Soldiers is classed as an action-horror, but I believe a wide – ranged audience can enjoy it. It is a fun film, filled with dark comedy, classy worth – ...
Advantages: Unusual idea but well executed Disadvantages: No name cast
Don't expect to see anyone you know in this. It's a complete cast of no-namers and that's a good thing. When you have unknowns, you aren't sitting there thinking "Are the famous stars going to die?"
Basically this a group of soldiers who escape from execution by the Germans and are trying to get back to the Allied lines. They overhear Germans talking about a downed Allied plane and manage to reach the airman first who tells them he is carrying vital intelligence that could prevent the Germans from overpowering an Allied position.
So the film then becomes their journey to help him to the closest Allied Command post. We have Deacon, haunted by the memory of killing civilians. Sarge, from Chicago who holds them all together. Kendrick who will do anything for a cigarette. Its quite a clever story and is told well from a neutral perspective ...
A team of Soviets posing as un-allied terrorists plant a nuclear weapon in a major Saudi Arabian oil field. They then threaten to detonate it unless the Israelis withdraw from the occupied West Bank. The only man who can stop them is "The Soldier."
