DVD Description
A sequel to 2000's THE SKULLS, THE SKULLS II once again delves into the world of a secret Ivy League society known as the Skulls (loosely based on Yale's Skull & Bones fraternity). Here, new inductee Ryan Sommers (Dunne) faces a dilemma when, soon after having taken an oath not to betray any of the society's secrets or its powerful members, he witnesses a murder inside the Skulls' private chambers. Pressured by the authorities and convinced that his brothers in the Skulls are watching him, Ryan must decide between telling the truth or dealing with the wrath of his increasingly menacing brothers.

Advantages: entertaining flight of fancy Disadvantages: mediocre acting
...So I only came across this film because it happened to be starting at just the time that I turned on the television, but I stuck with it and was pleased with what I watched.
The Skulls is named after the fictional 'secret society' around which the story is based, and is an American late-teen college/university with a dark feel, not like your American Pie and whatnot.
Lucas McNamara (played by Joshua Jackson) is in his senior (fourth, to us Brits) year at an unnamed Ivy League University. From humble beginnings as a poor kid with no family, to success as a major player in his university rowteam, he shows much promise. As such, he is approached by several 'secret societies' but turns them down, until eventually The aforementioned Skulls call him.
This seems a great thing at first, as they give money, cars, girls, and countless...

...Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
It's finally here, the fourth instalment of the Indian Jones series which we have waited 19 years for is finally here and the verdicts are in, but is it any good or not?
I went to see this at the cinema this weekend with three others, one of which had never seen an Indian Jones film before (how is that possible?) but we talked her into it.
I am a big fan of the films and first saw them as a child but have watched them over and over again through the years (generally when they are on the tele over Christmas) so I was hoping that this one was going to be as good. I read a lot of the critic's reviews before seeing it which in general weren't that complimentary but kept an open mind going into it. Cinema goers however didn't seem to worry about bad reviews as the film took £12.5m...

...Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.
Some sarcastic and critical people have called this film 'Indiana Jones and The Milking of the 4th Cash Cow.
The film as you might expect has a plethora of stars,
Harrison Ford - Indiana Jones.
Karen Allen - Marion Ravenwood.
Shia LaBeouf - Mutt Willliams.
John Hurt - Professor Oxley.
Jim Broadbent - Dean Charles Stanford.
Kate Blanchett - Irina Spalko.
Ray Winston Mac George McHale.
Notably not in the film is Indies dad, Sean Connery and Marcus (Denholm Mitchell Elliott) who died in 1992.
A very brief synopsis of the story begins with Indie and Mac taken against their will to 'Area 51', where
Clues lead them onwards ending up in the jungle. Along the way Indie will pick up a deranged John Hurt, an old flame and a unknown Son!
I won't fill in the innards of the story because it...
