Do I recommend the DVD?
One word- YES! The DVD boxset is packed with 22 episodes over the series, and are about 20 minutes in length each. On top of this, the DVD features extras, which are
Commentaries by Matt Groening, for all 22 episodes
An introduction by Matt
Deleted and Extended scenes to name a few features - the DVD feature more .
The DVD boxset is full of hours of entertainment, which is going to keep you entertained. I think that the fourth season of the Simpsons is the best season yet, and the episode where Bart gets a bigger brother, has to be my favourite, that or either the episode where Homer is off drink for a month - the way he copes with it , is hilarious!. Another thing which keeps this DVD boxset entertaining, even after the episodes have all been watched, is the fact that there are Easter Eggs, to be found within the DVD
Easter Eggs are hidden features, which need to be found in the DVD- there are no information about these within the DVD boxset, it is up to you to find them, and trying to find them is quite entertaining in its own right
I also recommend the DVD , as it is not too expensive either. Of course, I payed around £35 for mine, but that was when it was first released, and to be completely honest, £35 for a DVD boxset, which features 22 episodes, and a list of bonus features, and hidden features is well worth the money.
