The Simpsons: Risky Business is a compilation of four episodes from america's favourite yellow family, the Simpsons. The episodes included are "Marge Gets a Job", "Deep Space Homer", "Homer the Smithers" and "Realty Bites".
In "Marge Gets a Job", Marge is employed at the nuclear plant after the Simpson's house slides off it's foundations. But she gets some unwelcome attention in the shape of Mr. Burns, who will stop at nothing to woo her. Guest starring Tom Jones, it's another classic episode from the golden age of "The Simpsons".
"Deep Space Homer" is a classic episode and deals with NASA sending Homer up into space to boost their public image. But, like everything in "The Simpsons", nothing goes as planned and soon the crew find themselves in danger, can Homer and an inanimate carbon rod save the day. A fantastic episode filled with memorable moments (Kent Brockman pledging allegiance to to the 'space ants') and classic Homer stupidity, definitely one to watch!
"Homer the Smithers" has Homer taking over Smither's job while he is away on holiday. He struggles with the countless number of jobs he has to undertake, until finally he snaps and punches Mr. Burns in the face. Burns, now scared of Homer, has to make do and soon learns to do everything himself, but what will happen with Smithers returns? A rather overlooked episode I think, it doesn't have the same big laughs as the previous episode on this DVD, but it's still very enjoyable to watch.
Finally, "Realty Bites" has Marge becoming an estate agent. She finds this hard however, as she can't help but be honest with her clients about the houses they are interested in. Meanwhile, Homer buys a sports car at a police auction, little knowing the criminal wants it back. Another very good episode with lots of laughs (Homer pretending to be an expert on cars), it's also worth watching for Marge trying to become a success, and the moral issues she has to deal with.
No extras to speak of, except a little clip collection entitled "Chief Wiggum's finest moments", which is nice but not really enough to justify it's high price tag on amazon. If you really want this DVD, buy it used, you'll be able to get it a lot cheaper than the retail price, otherwise just buy a season box set.
Overall a great collection of episodes, which is why I give this set five stars, but it's let down slightly by the price tag and lack of extras. That doesn't take away from the quality of the episodes however, and I stand by my rating!

The entertainer Review ofThe Simpsons - Risky Business (DVD)by
LittleLoz
Advantages: Funny, can watch it over and over Disadvantages: Not the best simpson DVD
...not be my favourtie of the simpsons DVDs it is still a very good, comical collection of episodes, the animation is of high graphics due to the fact that they are more recent episodes. This DVD is only knocked of the top spot of my favourite simpson DVD because I have over 30 simpson DVDs and there is so much choice. There are four episodes on this DVD: reality bites, homer the smithers, deep space homer and marge gets a job the latter being my favourite, ... ...The cover is a typical, bright simpsons picture that displays the good graphics of the included epipsodes. I got this when it was first out for about £12 which is great value as I have watched it over and over again. It is great to take on holiday or for a rainy afternoon as it provides entertainment for all different ages and is suitable for younger children with mild language and violence of a "comic nature".I have taken this many times for car ...
