Homer - Homer is the most main character. Homer is the father to his children , Bart , Lisa and Maggie. Homer is around 35 years of age and he is largely built with a bald head with two hairs bridging on his skull. Homer also works at a nuclear plant!!!...
Marge - Marge is the mother in the family. She is a very caring woman and she is always one to take things seriously. She has blue undescribable hair which is the bright blue colour of the sky. Bart - He is the son of the family. He is a troublemaker at home and at school. He has a best friend ( Millhouse) where they seem very close. Bart attends Springfield elementary school where he is around the 9th grade.
Lisa - Lisa is a very clever 8 year old girl. She goes to Springfield Elementary as well as Bart. Lisa is always the one in the family who follows the proper morals in the town of Springfield as she has organised her own speeches to save the town on her own before , a very brave and confident little miss Springfield!!!...
Maggie - Maggie is a baby , where she stays at home and where she is taken care of by her mother , Marge. Marge and Maggie have a deep connection with Maggia being the complete favourite. Homer always forgets Maggie's name , and they both have no connection what so ever. Maggie is a dangerous baby who has shot Homer's boss, Mr Burns!!!...
Well in 2007 , Matt Groening , Al Jean , and James L Brooks decided to write up a Simpsons Movie. This movie was brought out to our local cinemas on the 27th of July last year. This great animated movie made a huge impact to the screens , The Simpsons popularity rose especially to the children who watched the film and liked it , here are some reasons why...
The Plot
This great film starts of with the appearance of Greenday who are performing a concert on top of a barge in Lake Springfield. Greenday end up being killed by the water pollution which causes the water to flood over the barge and end the concert and Greenday!!!... When it comes to the Greenday funeral service , Homer's father ( Grampa), has a very strange image in his head that makes him predict that the town is in peril danger!. Marge believes Grandpa but the rest of the town doesn't , exept Lisa aswell , she meets a nice irish boy named Colin when the meet on their way to asking surveys to the residents of Springfield. They clean up the town's act and try to clean the Lake Of Springfield.
Not long in the film , Homer decides that he wants a pig , as a pet!!!... Homer sticks the big on the ceiling thus naming him "Spiderpig" which all of the little children were laughing at when the film came out. Homer also names him " Harry Plopper" when he is wearing glasses and has a fake scar on his forehead. Even thought i'm older , this still made me laugh a lot. A very large cannister of Spiderpig's waste has been overflowing so Marge demands Homer to dispose of it safely. Homer thinks he has done right when he heaves the cannister into the Lake Of Springfield which causes the water to pollute even more and the polluation is strong enough to mutate things , such as the squirre into a frog like creature... Scary!!!...
When Ned Flanders and Bart are out having some " Fake Father and Son Time" , they realise that the Enviormental Protection Agency (EPA) has captured the mutated squirrel , which means that springfeild would have to be kept under a giant glass dome!!!...
The town's people find out that Homer is to blame for the polluting of Lake Springfield , so angry mobs of Springfields residents try to attack the Simpsons unsuccessfully , as Maggie finds a sink hole which allows The Simpsons to escape under the dome and they run away to Alaska...
The EPA start to notice that the huge glass dome is becoming cracked with little small cracks of course , but still they want nobody to escape , everyone tries their best to escape but it still isn't enough. Over in Alaska , Marge , Lisa and Bart are disscussing that how they wish to save Springfield from the dome. Inbetween all the comedy going on inside and outside of the dome , Marge and the kids return to Springfield as Homer stays in Alaska , as people tried to kill him back home. Homer goes on a trek in the snow and then he finds himself with a shaman in a tippees tent. Homer realises that he must try and save Springfield , even though they angry mobs tried to kill him and his family.
Homer decides to go back to Springfield which is covered in the dome , after knocking out some of the gaurds , he climbs the dome and lowers in a rope which he climbs down right after a bomb from the EPA is placed inside the dome and inside Spirngfield. Homer goes down to the ground as fast as he can , he picks up Bart and talks with him , Flanders tried to be a proper father , but this is something Homer and Bart have to do. So Homer grabs a motorbike , rides up the dome , grabs the bomb and throws it out of the hole within seconds beofre the bomd explodes. He is such a hero of the town that everyone appreciates his bravery , and with all of the town back to normal , and the people in happiness , Marge and Homer rest at the sunset of the beutiful town of Springfield...
The plot in this film is very good. There is a high level of comedy included in the film , but there is just so much to write and i don't want to spoil the fun!!!...
The Cast
There are no real actors in the animated film obviously , but some poeple have to do the voices?
Well the voice of Homer Simpson is portrayed by Dan Castellaneta.
Marge's voice is spoken by Julie Kavner.
Bart's voice is a very unique style of voice. What i mean by this is it is actualy spoken by an older lady which i was very shocked when i heard such a voice was played by an old woman!!.. Her name is Nancy Cartwright...
And finally , Lisa's voice is provided by Yeardley Smith , a 44 year old lady!!!...
Why I Did/Didn't Like The Film
I liked most of the film because it was so well animated. The Simpsons to me is the best animated series ever , and who knew such great episodes could one day turn into a successful film?!!!...
Another good thing was the fact that it had great humour. It was about a serious situation , but it was also humourous at the same time. Some of the things Homer does in his nature is just so ladiback and funny. The spiderpig segment was the funniest for me , bu i won't spoil that part for you. Homer's spiderpig song was also released on ringtone!!!...
The only thing that i disliked about The Simpsons movie was the fact that it was so unrealistic. I knew that it was an animated film , but a giant dome into a town? Who can't just dig under the silly thing?!!...
I can't complain about the film as it was probably aimed for children , but some of the adverts said adults would like the film to. I don't think many of the rest of the adults did in the cinema , as the story was so unreal , and so quickly finished in a matter of minutes. In other words , the ending wasn'tgood at all , i was expecting such a better ending after a fairly great film!!!...
Why Buy This Film
If you want to entertain your children and maybe have a good luahg if you find it funny , then this is a great film to have with a night in with your children with the popcorn on a saturday night.
The film was also very popular when it was released so you may have something different to talk about?!!!...
Overall , this film would get a 7/10. It was funny , fairly entertaining , and it was very popular with all of your favourite Simpsons characters!!...
The film just needed a little improvement with the ending and the length of the film and how much more exiting it could be. Aprt from that , it was quite good i must say!!!...

...and Perry Go Large" and the "Jackass" films get made when the show is still on air and a cancelled show like "Firefly" gets a film adaptation soon afterwards. But fans are kept waiting for decades for film versions of other shows like the long rumoured but never confirmed "Red Dwarf" film and "The Simpsons". Whilst it seems more and more unlikely that the former will ever see the light of day - although the same had come to seem true of the recent ... ...so many false starts - the latter is now here. Of course, just because it finally got made doesn't mean it's going to be any good, as the aforementioned "Hitchhiker's" film proved.
As with any episode of "The Simpsons", the film has a couple of strands running through it. The main one involves the pollution of Lake Springfield, which leads to Lisa finding her soul mate and the Simpsons being run out of town. The town is subsequently cordoned off ...

This is something fans of the show have been waiting for. After 158 drafts and production since 2003, OFF ("Our Favourite Family") finally hit the big screen in The Simpsons Movie. ~~~~~THE PLOT (no spoilers yet)~~~~~~
The action starts off surrounding Lisa's unfortunate attempts to get Springfieldian citizens to care about the environment. Meanwhile, Bart is beginning to feel unloved as Home continues to let him down (and, on one occasion, publicly ... ...community support, as well as the admirations of a young Irish lad with similar idealistic views (whose father is "NOT" Bono).
I don't want to give away too much of the plot, so I'll post a subtle reminder here:

Advantages: Move over Daniel Craig, Homer is the new James Bond Disadvantages: Whilst better than the new Simpsons, people shall complain for fun
...When I first watched The Simpsons Movie it was on a tiny screen, and to put it bluntly.. illegally, but one of my surprise gifts of this past Christmas was the movie as a gift. I had enjoyed the movie first time around, contrary to many other peoples opinions, and was quite confident it could live up to see a second time watch - especially with my family who had not seen the movie before. Now, I am one of those people that believes The Simpsons 20-minute ... ...a great way to save the franchise. Of course though, Matt Groening hasn't given up and following the movie we still receive new episodes of the show. I guess the only real question is, did The Simpsons Movie give the show a little bit more credit and save it when it didn't really need saving (financially wise), or did it just prove what we already thought we'd learnt about The Simpsons.. it can't cut it anymore. *WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME

I think the general concensus is that as The Simpsons has progressed through the seasons as a television show, the quality has significantly dropped and whilst some people who hop on to begin watching the show right now may find it to be hilarious, there is something about the way the show is put together that is completely different to the earlier episodes. We are now talking about a time though with a show like Family Guy, where nothing really ... ...popular around the world. With other adult cartoon shows such as South Park as well, it is important for The Simpsons to try and grab those viewers and it has been done in a way that takes away from the realism of the show. So many people maybe becoming sick of the new and improved Simpsons, except for perhaps the odd new episode, and I think it is some peoples vision that The Simpsons would end one day with one fantastic movie that brought the entire ...

This is ultimately a review of the Platinum Digitally Re-Mastered Jungle Book which was released on DVD a little before Christmas 2007. It does however tell you all you would need to know about the film, without spoiling it for you.

On my Christmas list to Santa, along with The Simpsonsmovie , was the 40th Anniversary edition DVD of Walt Disney's The Jungle Book. Now, I must have been a good girl last year because, I got both of these, and other treats. The film comes after 18 series of the series, but it's certainly more in the spirit (and quality) of the show's best years.
