This is a video containing five great episodes from the hit cartoon series, The Simpsons! Five episodes based around key moments in the Simpsons. The five episodes are Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire, Sweet Seymour Skinners Badass Song, Trash Of The Titans, Bart Gets An F and Lisa's First Word. Here is a review of each of episodes and my opinion on each and on this video as a whole.

What is so great about these episodes?
**********************************************

Simpsons roasting on an Open Fire - The First Ever Simpsons Episode
Sweet Seymours Badass Song - The 100th Simpsons Episode
Trash of the Titans - The 200th Simpsons Episode
Bart Gets an F - The Simpsons Episode With The Highest U.S. Ratings
Lisa's First Word - Maggie Speaks for the First Time!

Episode Information
*************************

Here are the lists of episodes with information about the story lines, original air dates, writers and directors of each of the episodes and my personal opinion on each. There are in order of how they appear on the video. They act as a
memory refresher to those of you who have seen them and a taster for those of you who
haven't.

[7G08] - Simpson's Roasting on an Open Fire
Original Air Date: 17 Dec 89
Written By: Mimi Pond
Directed By: David Silverman
Story Line: Homer doesn't receive his Christmas bonus in his pay packet this year. So Marge has to dig into her savings to have Bart's tattoo removed. Homer gets a job as Santa Claus at a department store.
My Opinion: This is a great episode and was the first to be shown on television. It sets up for a hit that is the Simpsons. We get to see where Santa's Little Helper comes from in this episode.
Classic Animation!

[1F18] - Sweet Seymour Baadasssss Song
Original Air Date: 28 Apr 94
Written By: Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein
Directed By: Bob Anderson
Story Line: Skinner is fired by Super Intendent Chalmers and Flanders is set the task of being the new school principal. Skinner is alone and friendless, until Bart realises he can help Skinner get his old job back.
My Opinion: A great episode with a great story line and jokes.

[5F09] - Trash of the Titans
Original Air Date 26 Apr 98
Written By: Ian Maxtone-Graham
Directed By: Jim Reardon
Special Guest: U2 and Steve Martin (Ray Patterson)
Story Line: Homer finds his rubbish not being collected after he insults the garbage men. Homer sets about challenging the current Sanitation Commissioner to an election, Homer wins and blows his annual budget in a month and has to find other ways to make up the money needed.
My Opinion: This is a really enjoyable episode that sees Homer at his best. Some really great special guests and a story line that proves the Simpsons has got something that just makes it so successful.

[7F03] - Bart Gets an F
Original Air Date: 11 Oct 90
Written By: David M. Stern
Directed By: David Silverman
Story Line: Bart fails another test and has the chance of having to re-sit the fourth grade for another year. Bart befriends Martin so he can learn off him and pass his test. All this causes is Martin to become cool.
My Opinion: A great early episode and one that is definitely worth seeing. This episode was the first one to start the second season of the Simpsons.

[9F08] - Lisa's first Word
Original Air Date: 3 Dec 92
Written By: Jeff Martin
Directed By: Mark Kirkland
Special Guest: Elizabeth Taylor (Maggie Simpson)
Story Line: The Simpsons are trying to get Maggie to talk. Homer and Marge also reminiscence about Bart and Lisa growing
up.
My Opinion: Excellent episode with a great ending, if you have seen it, you will know what I mean!

Conclusion
*************

This is a video with five episodes on instead of the usual four, which makes a nice change and more for your money! I first borrowed this off a friend a few years ago and now my little brother has it. Some of the episodes can be found on
the DVD box sets, so if you want to lay out a bit more money, you can have more episodes to watch and with better quality. If you're a Simpson's fan you will really enjoy this instalment of episodes and they truly are some of the greatest hits! If you're like me and like the Simpsons, you will think every episode is a greatest hit! This is a must have for your Simpsons collection!
