Advantages: It smells lovely Disadvantages: The ballistic has lost its fizz
Now all my other reviews about bath ballistics basically say that I'm not a fan whatsoever, that they are a waste of money blah blah! Well that won't change is this review whatsoever!!!
I was bought The Sicillian because its italian and my friend bought it because im italian! Now Sicily was not always part of Italy until the italian unification of 1860! However Sicily is renowned for its production in oranges and lemons. So Lush decided to name it after the sundrenched valleys of Sicily!!
I took my ballistic out of its usual bright yellow paper bag and actually thought how nice it looked! Perfectly round, the colour of lemons and it smelt divine. It kinda reminded me of Lemslip Butter Cream, that cirtus aroma was addictive.
Well, you might expect that a bath reminiscent of Sicilian orange groves would be orange in colour, but not so ...
Advantages: It's smooth, fruity and red. Disadvantages: None
I had never tasted a Sicilian Wine before and, as I have a very open mind and am always on the lookout for new challenges I decided to venture forth on a quest for 'a cheap 'n cheerful and not too nasty (or vinegary!) red wine.'
I didn't really think I'd be able to find any more wines under £3.00 a bottle that were half decent, especially after someone suggested that there was something wrong with my taste buds, as the last wine I suggested tasted like vinegar in their opinion.
However, not being a person to be put off by criticism and purely in the aid of research for all things cheap n' cheerful I ventured forth to seek out a Sicilian wine as had been suggested by another friend.
I found a bottle in Asda. I very rarely go in this store as I'm usually surrounded by wayward trolleys being pushed by wayward people (or so it ...
What's slightly rugged, perfectly shaped, full of fizz, smells divine, and sits in my bath with me?
The Sicilian Bath Ballistic from Lush.
Lush makes and sell a variety of delicious Bath Ballistics. Their range runs from lavender to hot ginger and everything in between.
There is currently a special Chiristmas range is our local Lush shop.
Bath Ballistic Balls look like tennis balls and they are quite rough and powdery on the outside. The Sicilian is a light yellow in colour and weighs around 200 grams.
You put the Sicilian into your bath once you have the water at the right temperature for you and it fizzes away. The fizzing will last about 20 minutes. I did notice that if the water is hotter, the ball fizzes away much faster. So it depends very much on how hot you like your bath but I would estimate 15 to 20 minutes ...
This film is based on Mario Puzo's bestselling novel which follows the life of Salvatore Giuliano, the Sicilian bandit leader who took on the church, the state, and the Mafia in his attempt to lead Sicily to secede from Italy.

DVD Description
Christopher Lambert stars in an operatic biography of the violent outlaw folk hero Salvatore Giuliano. A bandit, a patriot, and a real-life Robin Hood, Giuliano was the infamous bandit who, together with his ragtag band of guerrillas, attempted to liberate 1940s Sicily from Italian rule. Cimino tells the tale of an idealistic and deeply flawed man who employs increasingly excessive means to further his dream of achieving radical land distribution from the rich land owners to the peasants. The film features exceptional performances by John Turturro and Joss Ackland in supporting roles.
