Wow, as many times as i have seen this movie, it doesnt fail to do the job - scare the living daylights out of me. The beginning starts off a normal family going to live at the husbands work residence nothing sinister there, the middle sees a very different man who seems very screwed up, not the family man he started off as, and the end, well i will leave that for you to watch.
Jack Nicholson plays a fantastic part and how he manages to jump in and out of that particular roll is beyond me. This movie makes your stomach do somersalts and mine is doing it as I am sitting here typing this review. This DVD has 40 minutes of Vivian Kubricks behind the scenes documentary "The making of the Shining". It also has interactive menus and Scene access and also has a trailer. This DVD is not for the faint hearted.

Well worth it.
