Directed by visionary filmmaker Bernardo Bertolucci (Last Tango In Paris, Stealing Beauty, ... more
The Last Emperor) and based upon the celebrated, existential novel by cult writer Paul Bowles, The Sheltering Sky stars Debra Winger (An Officer And A Gentleman, Terms Of Endearment), John Malkovich (Burn After Reading, Dangerous Liaisons), Campbell Scott (Roger Dodger, The Spanish Prisoner) and Timothy Spall (The Last Samurai, Secrets And Lies) in an unforgettable, dangerous and erotic journey across North Africa and into the dark depths of the human soul. Pseudo-bohemian American couple Port And Kit Moresby believe that a tourist is someone who thinks about home as soon as they arrive somewhere, whereas a true traveller never knows when they’ll return. In an attempt to spice up their marriage they venture aimlessly across the beautiful but hazardous landscape of North Africa in search of new experiences. But as they journey deeper into the Sahara desert, their indulgent dreams slowly evolve into a sinister nightmare of insanity and death.
Some journeys are best left unmade. Kit and Port Moresby are Americans abroad. Struggling ... more
to save their marriage they resolve to trade civilization for the wilderness of the Sahara. At first the pair are seduced by the desert's beauty. But beneath the exquisite landscape lurk the dark undercurrents of an alien culture and the relentless dangers of a hostile natural world. And as they travel deeper they might not only lose their way. They could lose their lives!

Advantages: Easy Disadvantages: Can be noisey (Anytime Tv updating)
This has to be one of the best things I own. Due to its ease of use it means that I no longer have to miss a programme that I want to watch.
*****Recording*****
This is extremely easy to do. All you have to do to start a recording is find the show you want to record and hit the record button - done. The same applies for recording something that is on immediately or in the future. This is great because it means no having to set time records on your DVD/VHS recorder and then getting ready to watch what you have "just recorded" only to realise you've made a mistake.
*****Series Link*****
This allows you to put a show which is aired each week on to a link which automatically records it for you. This is also extremely easy and all that is required is again pressing a single button , then that's you.
I've only used this ...

Advantages: Plenty of recording space Disadvantages: Recording ability not available for free
For a long time I refused to get Sky+ because I said we'd never use it. After giving in to pressure and having it installed I cant believe we ever managed without it. There are very few programmes I watch 'live' anymore.
The Sky + box comes with a hard drive that will store approximately 40 hours of TV, which is more than enough for most people, you would need to be an exteme TV watcher to fill the drive, or be the type of person who saves programmes to watch over again.
The best feature of the Sky+ is the ability to pause live TV, very handy if the phone rings or someone comes to the door. You can also rewind live TV, so if you miss what someone has said you can rewind to hear it again.
The Sky+ box has parental controls, so all adult channels can be blocked and a PIN number can be set so children cant watch films that are too ...

Advantages: Series link Disadvantages: Not enough memory
First of all I would like to clarify that I am not a TV addict however I couldn't live without my sky plus box. It has become an everyday essential to my family & I & is in constant use in our household. It's the best thing since sliced bread!
I personally love sky+ & don't think I've come across anyone who doesn't. It's easy to use, practical & fast. I haven't encountered any problems with the box so far however when I had an issue with my bill I phoned the sky+ helpline at 1am & they were happy to help giving friendly efficient advice & immediately solved the problem. I have nothing but praise for sky & would recommend it to anyone. It can be a bit expensive but for all the services it offers I think it is definitely worth paying a bit more & knocks all of the competition straight out of the park.
I have had sky for years now ...
