The Shaggy Dog is a Classical, Family Comedy that is a great for the kids. The story is about a Family/ Business man who is more involved with his business than his loved ones (he's a workaholic).
He has two kids the teen daughter Carly Douglas (Zena grey) and the youngest Josh Douglas who is purposely failing in his studies, so he can get kicked off his football team and perhaps gain a spot in the school play Grease(what he really wants to do) instead of trying to impress his father Dave (Tim allen)by playing football. Dave Douglas is about to begin trial on Carly's social studies teacher, for arson against a presumed -evil, pharmacueutical company. Now the wolly canine takes the stage as an pratically immortal collie, who is captured in tibet and brought to Los Angles by, Grant & Strictland the componey in trial. With some help from Carly and her Boyfriend the furry canine manages to escape, it then makes its way over to the Douglas residents. Dave who has a distaste for dogs gets bitten by the pooch, earning shaggy a one way trip to the dog a pound, Dave starts to exhibbit strange behaviour, he seems to be acting like a dog, licking his bowl of milk, to snaring at cats, until he turns into one and for some time in the movie cant change back to the man he was.
But there is a silver lining in every cloud as he is turned into a dog his family thinking he is Shaggy care for him and treat him like a pet, he learns things from his kids as they reveal secrets to him thinking he is Shaggy and then only him seing life through a dogs eyes, opens his eyes and makes him realize that he needs to be there more for his kids and support them in what they want to do instead of what he wants to do..
I wont spoil the rest of the film for you so you gunna have to watch it.:D
