set five thousand years ago, the scorpion king tells of the ancient desert lands which are ruled by a vicious warlord called memnon played by steven brand who was in tv program 'heartbeat' ruling by fear, memon relies on the prophecies of a sorceresswho advises him on how to approach every battle so that he never loses.
The few remaining tribes that havent been destroyed by memnom unite and enlist the services of renowned warrior mathayus to try and stop memnons evil reign.
Can the courageous assassin defeat memnon well to find out rent or buy the dvd now. this is the rocks first full film(he was the scorpion king at the start of the mummy returns).
This film was not as successful as the mummy 1 or 2 but with no brendan fraser or rachel weisz it is still a good film to watch and made $90m usa and £5m uk at the box office in may this year and whould have made more but it was up against spiderman.

The boyfriend chose this one to watch...think I wanted panic room......but must say was pleasantly suprised. The humour doesnt take you away from the serious side of the story and great to see the dude from the green mile in there.

This was a great, escapist, no brainer of a film and I thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was!! This was a really good op, and if you pad it out a little more with some extra details it'll definitely get more VH's. :) Jami
