Ok, yes i m aware that this is the second review i've done on a christmas film in two days, and no i'm not one of those fruitcakes that puts my tree up in september until march................... ANYWAY!!
I want to review The santa claus brothers, dvd. My daughter received this disc as part of her christmas box last year. Having never heard of the film before then, i confess it took me two months to even unwrap it and another momth to even watch it!!
The story - Mel, Darryl and Roy are Santas sons and are all 150 years old (in santa years!!) The boys have a lot of growing uo to do, both in maturity and waist lines!!! (two of them are extremely thin!!) The time has come for santa to decide who is going to take over the reins of the big sleigh, buts its becoming clear to him that the triplets are more interested in monkeying around than the family business! So to prepare them for the job santa and Mrs claus decide to teach their triplets the true meaning of christmas and enlist santa's right hand elf, Snorkal, to show them the ropes. But what santa doesn't know is that Snorkal has greater plans and hopes to overthrow the whole family and gain santa status for himself!!!!
Dvd extras - Advent calendar and scene selection, Santa's quiz, Santa's photo gallery.
Running time - 45 minutes approx.
Rated - this film is rated universal, suitable for all.
Cost - This dvd only cost £6.00 from asda.
I had no idea what to expect from this film, although on seeing the sticker on the case it certainly heightened my expectations, ( the sticker says - from Micheal Bedard, the emmy award winning creator of Sitting Ducks.) I was, however quite dissapointed, though the film is nicely animated, with well thought out background and characters, the story was boring. I wouldn't really recommend this film to anyone.
Thanks for reading my review!!!
