Advantages: Excellent war movie, good acting + special features on DVD Disadvantages: DD 5.1 audio would have been nice
...passes.
My Thoughts:
I purchased this soon after it was shown on TV as I was completely hooked on it; the action, the story just everything about it! As some of you may know this DVD is based on a true story and I had to keep asking myself did this really happen! These guys go through hell and the story is retold so well that your heart will be racing in places. Since watching this I have read the Bravo two Zero book by Andy McNabb and believe that this movie is a fairly good adaptation so if you haven't seen this yet and enjoy war movies/SASaction then go get it now!
The DVD:
I paid full price of around £12.99 when this was first released and thought that it was good value for money even at this 'high price'. The video quality on the DVD is excellent and clear even during the night scenes, which there are plenty of. The audio sadly is only...

Advantages: Factual insight to the SAS, good for girls as well as boys! Disadvantages: I can't think of any!
...Now, I'm no very into the whole SAS thing, I don't like action films/documentaries/programmes of any sort! But......This DVD box set is fantastic.
I got married three months ago, and since being married, my Husband (who is in the army) has developed an interest in the whole SAS thing, hence buying this box set. I wasn't really that enthusiastic about watching it to be honest, he wanted to, so we put it on and..............now I'm obsessed!
Basically, it's about the SAS doing different jobs, putting their lives in danger, shooting people, etc. etc. Everything I had assumed the SAS would do really. But, this one is helped along by the actors, who are all fantastic actors. Ross Kemp (ex Eastender - Grant Mitchell) He plays basically the same sort of role that he did in Eastenders - tough, hard-man but with an adorable soft side! My...

Advantages: Lively, Fast, and Very Action-Filled Disadvantages: Sound
...Andy McNab was placed in charge of the SAS squad that's job was to go behind enemy lines and destroy mobile SCUD rocket launchers in Iraq. It's callsign was "Bravo Two Zero".
The DVD, based on McNab's book, "Bravo Two Zero", stars British actor Sean Bean and McNab himself. The names used in the book are mentioned throughout the film, and the actors reinacted the book to the word, exceptionally well. Bean himself was suberb for this role, being an Englishman himself, was able to fit really well into the role of McNab.
Many places are mentioned in the film, such as the British SAS headquarters at Hereford, and places in Iraq that many veterans of the war in Iraq may recognise.
Throughout the film, it is narrated with text from the book itself, offering a sense of understanding more about the event with Bravo Two Zero. The DVD portrays...

...This is my favourite movie.
It is farfetched, loud, and brilliant.
As long as you forget that none of it could ever happen in real life, it is a great film.
A group of renegade soldiers led by Gerneral Hummel (Ed Harris), steals poison gas rockets and breaks in to Alcatraz, threatening to fire the rockets at San Fransisco.
It is up to chemical weapons expert Nicolas Cage and SAS man Sean Connery (Yes really!!) to stop them.
The effects are good and the action is non stop, and there are some funny moments as well.
There is also a really good car chase in which Nicolas Cage wrecks a Ferrari...
