Advantages: great story, great acting, excellent soundtrack Disadvantages: Pauly was still an annoying character
something to do with the fantastic body he had as it certainly was not the way he spoke as he must have only said no more that 10 words throughout the film! He and his group of people were well thought-out character but I did not warm to them and some of the acting seemed very wooden.
The film was made and set in the 1980?s and this was very apparent from the clothes and the sets which were used. the sort of raw emotions that it does.
The film is heartfelt whether it be for Balboa and his epic battle for the title or his undeniable love for his girlfriend Adrian, this film itself is extremely well scripted and the cast is perfectly selected and makes for an emotional masterpiece.
Excellent performances from all of the central cast are an important feature of Rocky, as is the superb soundtrack which conjures up several raw emotions.
Rocky will always be a classic, despite its many dubious sequels. It is one of the films you must watch before you die.
DVD: The dvd itself is very basic and this is a review centred around the film itself rather than the DVD. ...
