The Rocky Horror Picture Show / Shock Treatment (DVD)

This film was so funny - I watched round my friends house and we were pratically crying with laughter. A bit strange, but that was what was so good about it!

Advantages: absolutey excellent
Disadvantages: nothing

...when I watched it for the first time I just wanted to watch it over and over again until the DVD broke. I thought it was absoluetly hilarious, I must say that Dr. Frank -n-Furter who was played by the spetacular tim curry was my favourite character in the whole film, I feel he really excelled himself in all aspects of the. ...telephone. On their arival to the castle, they meet riff-raff the loyal handyman and his sister Magenta, together in their classic performance of the "time warp". They then stumble into a celebration of the creation of Rocky, who Janet later gets to know quite well. Watch Janet and Brad have unlocked and embrace desires that were unbeknown to them. Advantages: Funny, very enjoyable, the creation of the characters help to make the film!
Disadvantages: A little dated now

...is just as amazing as the last! This has to be one of the best musical films i have seen ever. It's funny aswell as serious in some places. I think you have to watch the film at least twice to understand the full extent of it. I've also been to see this show in a theatre, i think it was the best experience i have ever encountered while attending the theatre, the atmosphere was so amazing and everybody made the experience even more enjoyable. Advantages: the dvd itself and the novel box design

...I love the rocky horror picture show and have done since coming across it in about 1980 I have watched it on hundreds of occasions and been to see the play, but this box set is really only for the die hard have to dress up club. The actual lip box is great and makes a excellent ornament in the living room ( I find moving it around frequently maximises effect) other than this the set includes some postcards and a couple of booklets and guides and a copy of shock treatment. Well I really do not rate, this it is just a poor immatation and did nothing special at the time of release either. As long as you can get the set cheap then fine but I would not recommend paying to much unless you are a die hard fan And I paid the full RRP of £70.00 at the time.... Read review

...I brought this being a huge Rocky Horror fan, and thought it would be brilliant. And it is! The two disc edition of rocky horror was jam packed with all sorts of extra and features which kept me entertained for a good few hours. Was very impressed at the little comic of rocky horror you get with it, although it doesnt contain the whole movie, it is very well done. The audience participation book was very good to read through and the 3 pictures I got differed to the ones shown on the back of the box but I think the ones I got are better anyways. I had never seen Shock treatment before and I think it is a highly underated film. It is easy to see how people might not like it as it is different to RHPS but if you dont compare the two you;ll probably enjoy it more. The more I watch it the more I like it.
