Exclusive 10 minute behind the scenes preview of ‘The Two Towers’. The film just looks awesome (I’m currently reading the book ‘The Two Towers’ so I will see how the film compares to the book).

And here’s the thing that will probably decide if the people go out and buy this DVD……. or wait till November to get The Lord of the Rings – The Fellowship of the Ring, (4 disc set) Special Extended DVD.
This is a thing which will annoy a lot of people. Pay £17.00 plus for a 2 DVD set (which is reasonably priced I thought). Or the world famous marketing ploy, wait another couple of months and get the 4 DVD set for about the £30.00 price range.
I’ve got this set as I do love the film and will most probably get the 4 disc set in November...

...times, and Jackson portrays them as such.
Before I pile into the review proper, the usual disclaimers. This film is the last of three, in a series that form one continuous story, much like the book, and therefore is not designed to be viewed without having first seen the previous films. Similarly this review relies on having read the previous two reviews, which can be found at

The film opens in the aftermath of two battles. Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Gandalf are with Theoden of Rohan, fresh from their victory against Saruman's army at helms deep. They are soon reunited with Merry and Pippin amongst the smoking ruins Isengard where the ambitions...

Advantages: brilliant special effects, scenery, music & great storyline Disadvantages: misses out large parts of the story
...The extended edition dvd of the Lord of the Ring - fellowship of the ring makes the film three and a half hours long, which is a great improvement!
aragorn is the best character in the films and books, he is so gorgeous, fit, strong....
there is a hidden trailer for the Lord of the Ring - the Two Towers which was really exciting when i found it!
you can buy the extended edition dvd with two book ends in the style of the Argonas on the river anduin.
the lord of the rings book has a lot more than the film had, for understandable reasons, but peter jackson could have split the fellowship of the ring into 2 halves for 2 films, making them more detailed.
for example it seems a fluke that merry and pippin go on the adventure with frodo and sam in the film, but in the book, it is all carefully planned.
overall, the film is amazing, and i can...

...The Fellowship of the Ring 2-dvd set is jam-packed with features.
Disc one contains the movie itself, plus the commentaries.
Disc two host a plethora of special features that is epic in it's own right.
With trailers, tv spots, sneak peak at the extended 4-disc release, two towers sneak peak, info on the game releases, enya music video, documentaries, character profiles and much more, going through them all takes about the same time to watch the movie, but it gives you all the info you need on the books, the movie(s) and tolkien himself. You get to see just how much time and effort went into bringing Tolkien's epic story to the big screen.
In short, a definate must-buy for all Lord Of The Rings fans...

...Part two of the Lord of the Rings trilogy maintains the high standards set in part one : The Fellowship of the Ring. The Two Towers, continues Frodo and his companions journey to Mount Mordor but in this part there are a number of battles experienced on the way which allow Peter Jackson the Director, to display his wonderful sensitivity for the story and give rein to some of the most incredible computerised battle scenes ever seen. The culmination is the defence of Helms Deep by Aragorn, his companions and at first very few defenders, against tens of thousands of Orcs.
This part alone is worth the entrance fee.
Two Towers also sees the introduction of Gollum, a masterpiece of characterisation using computerisation to a level where you can almost believe the creature is real.
Whether you are a Lord of the Rings afficionado or just...
