INTRODUCTION
This is a very difficult subject for me to write about and a very difficult subject for people to read about. You might be wondering why then, I have chosen to write about surviving rape. Well.. The reason is this, Christmas time is a time when people go out and get drunk. It is a time when people can get drinks spiked with date rape drugs. Of course, Christmas can be fun, but it is a time when we need to be careful too. Get in taxis, watch your drinks at all times, don?t go anywhere alone, take a personal alarm with you and try to carry a mobile phone.
WHAT IS RAPE?
Hong Kong Laws, Caption 200, s.117 states that rape offence (jo) means any of the following, namely, rape, attempted rape, aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring rape or attempted rape, and incitement to rape. Cap. 200 s.118(3) further explains ...

There are scenes of buggery, oral sex, and other sexual no no's for a mainstream, well semi mainstream movie. It is said that lots of the "sex audience" went to see this movie, because to them it was a legalized version of pornography, but some internet ...
In Citizenship classes at school, we were on the subject of rape, and watched The Accused, an Oscar-winning film that was released in 1988, starring Jodie Foster. This was a truly eye-opening film for me, and although disturbing at parts, was compelling, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
After having a row with her boyfriend, Sarah Tobias, heads for a bar, where her best friend works, to discuss the situation and relax. Some harmless, drunken, drug-induced flirting spirals out of control, and she is brutally gang-raped in a back room, cheered on by a crowd of spectators.
Katherine Murphy, a successful lawyer, takes on Sarah's case and tries to get the rapists convicted. However, as Sarah was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and some may say acting provocatively, it is an uphill struggle. In court, Sarah is made out to be ...

The English National Opera Orchestra provide sumptuous musical accompaniment to this moving interpretation of THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA. The story evokes strong, passionate themes, as one would expect from a thrilling combination of opera and Greek tragedy. Anthony Rolfe Johnson, Jean Rigby, Russell Smythe, and Kathryn Harries infuse the lead roles with just the right amount of tension and passion, making this a fascinating spectacle for the enthralled audience present, and now for viewers at home as well.
