Pirates of the Caribbean at World end is the third movie in the Pirates trilogy. It follows the crew of the Black Pearl (the Pirate ship) rescuing Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones' locker and then preparing to fight the East Indian Trading Company who are intent on extinguishing piracy. I'm not going to spoil the rest of the plot/movie for you as I believe you should see it for yourself so I will just now review the rest of the DVD and what I thought of the film/films.
At the box office it was actually the most successful film of 2007 and is the second most successful film in the series. I think even if action and adventure films aren't for you (they aren't my most favourite) this would still be a film you like as it is very funny in places, the sets are brilliant and the action really is very well choreographed. My one complaint with it ...

Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl
Captain Jack Sparrow?s pirate life is thrown into turmoil after his former first mate, Captain Barbossa mutinied and commandeered his ship, the infamous Black Pearl.
Barbossa left Jack on a deserted island thinking that would be the last he saw him, but unfortunately for Barbossa (but not for us) Jack managed to escape.
We catch up with Captain Jack several years later sailing into Port Royal (I say sailing , but the boat he has commandeered is sinking and he?s more bobbing along than sailing really). Once he's docked in Port Royal his mission is to find a replacement ship and fast.
His plan however is sidetracked when whilst trying to charm two of the Governor?s men to let him board their ship he sees a lady fall from the cliff top. The lady in question turns out to ...

DVD Description
Louis Hayward stars in this rip-roaring swashbuckler as the mysterious masked swordsman Captain Sirocco. By day, Sirocco disguises himself as foppish Count Amalfi so he can spy around the court of the evil Queen Carolina (Binnie Barnes). He also finds time to woo lovely Countess di Lopez (Mariella Lotti). By night, Amalfi dons his mask and prepares to lead the people of Capri to victory against the corrupt chief of police, Baron Scarpia (Rudolph Serato). Director Edgar G. Ulmer (DETOUR, BLUEBEARD) combines intrigue, suspense and last minute escapes with a neo-realist flavour popular in Italian film at the time: stark, expressionistic sequences of life in the streets (it was filmed on location in Naples) provide a nice contrast to the glamorous escapades. PIRATES OF CAPRI features plenty of well-staged sword fighting and a climactic duel. The soundtrack is by Nino Rota (THE GODFATHER, ROMEO & JULIET).
