Advantages: (+) interesting story, quite different (+) suprises, twists and turns! (+) hard to put down Disadvantages: (-) A little more description possibly needed though not essential!
- the Mexican man is none other than a post-cosmetic-surgery Terry Lennox!
I won't tell you who the killer really is because I don't want to spoil the story for those who are hoping to read the book!
PLOT
*Type of novel*
The LongGoodbye is a Crime Thriller revolving around a murder mystery, in other words, the killer is unknown.
I found that, in this novel, it was not particularly difficult to spot the villain; the killer was somewhat obvious.
*Time/Era*
The Long Goodybye is set within the 1930s - 1950s period.
*Composition of book*
With regard to the description of violence and 'chases', there is approximately 20% included in the novel.
Being a detective/private-eye story, there is a lot detail concentrating on Marlowe planning and preparing his evidence, figuring out eventsthat may have occurred, discussing puzzles ...
Advantages: Cartoon entertainment for kids Disadvantages: not as funny as the original, bad graphics, poor comedy
As I am sure most of you will know straight away who I mean when I mention the name Mr Bean. He's the love him or hate him guy played by Rowan Atkinson - as was his adopted comedy project after he finished doing Black Adder in the 80's.
However if you're not aware of who he is I'll give a brief break down. Mr Bean is a 40-50 year old man who lives alone and dresses in a shirt and tie, complete with tweed jacket everyday dispite the day, month or occassion. The only time he wears anything different is when he goes for a bath, a swim, or to bed when he wears his long PJ's which feature Teddy. Mr Bean also mumbles and bumbles his way through life. Which, in the first and original clips done by Rowan, made humourous incidents out of quite mundane things like going to the dentist, packing for a trip, or attending church were transformed ...
Advantages: Possibly a second film Disadvantages: Lame acting, predicatable.
Another failed attempt to spook all of us out eh. What total rubbish. Yeah, I?m talking about Long Time Dead. The story line was unoriginal and the acting was lame. It sounded like the actors/actresses were reading the lines as they were acting them out.
The film starts off in Morocco in 1970 something or other. A group of people are playing around with a ouija board and they unlock a Djinn into their world and it tries to kill them all one by one. Ill say no more.
Then the film comes to the this year and a bunch teenagers sharing a house. All smack heads of course. We see three lads at first and one of them is Joe Absalom who played Mathew Rose in Eastenders. This is his first film by the way. I was that bored watching this film, I?ve even forgotten all of there names. The ?coloured? girl, the only one infact was in Black Knight ...
